hi, Can anyone tell me firstly is Zymol the best wax to use on a Ferrari, i heard that the Ital Zymol is best for Rosso Corsa, and secondly does it justify the price of around £70 a pot? My car has a great gloss finish on it at present with just the regular autoglym. Would my car notice the difference or just my wallet!?! cheers
Most manufacturers use the same paint, and most cars over 10 years old have already had at least their bumpers painted (by a third party using non OEM brands and techniques)so not sure on which one is better (go with Ital) You will notice a difference over AutoG, but it does take a lot more time to apply the first time (there are 3 stages to applying it!) but is well worth it And it smells great as well!
This has been debated at great length... Search for Zymol and see what comes up end of the day opinion is divided at its a personal choice. I would say no complelling evidence either way... but I use Autoglym
My Challenge Stradale is being done tomorrow - Ill post you up some before and after pictures. The reults on the 550 and my old 360m were outstanding.
Forget wax, get it Permagarded. Quick jet wash off and job done. the car is for driving, not cleaning IMHO. . . . R
I used to use autoglym. Used Zymol from about a year back and what a difference! The colour seems deeper, and has more of a shine to it. Almost as if its got a glass layer. I use the cheapest one and its still better than autoglym. I can only imagine what the top waxes from Zymol will do. The only downside is the application time. To do it properly will take the best part of a Sunday the first time you do it. After that you might speed up. But trust me its worth the money. Also seems expensive but you use so little wax that my tub will last me at least 5 years, so not expensive at all. And I mean at least!
I have only used Autoglym the high resin gloss and the doins that goes on top of that (forgot its name how good is that). The car looks good, but Adnaan you mentioned a cheaper Zymol how much cheaper? Not sure I can justify £70?
Malc, have a look here http://www.vertar.com/ for ideas on cost, the wax itself isnt that expensive its just when you add in the car wash, pre wax cleaner and microfibre cloths (that are the same as the ones you can get at tesco's for £1 for two!)
I bought the Zymol Carbon Wax Starter Kit for about £100 from autoitalia last year. The results have been better than Autoglym, and this was the cheapest of the waxes. It takes about 8 hours first time. After that 3-4 hours for a reasonable job. Im not looking to have mine look concours so I dont take the whole day doing it.

Here's an idea of the difference it can make, but TBH it's all about the way it's applied, and the time and care that you take! This result took about 13 man-hours of hard graft! And, no, I didn't do it, I leave that to ZymolDave!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
