Brazilians Ricardo Zonta and Nelson Piquet Jr. have been confirmed as Renault's test drivers for the 2007 season. Thirty-year-old Zonta will be an important asset in Renault's adaptation to the new tyre regulations for next year, when all teams will use Bridgestone rubber. Twenty one-year-old Piquet, the son of three-time champion Nelson, will join Renault after two seasons in the GP2 series, where he will fight for the title in this weekend's Italian Grand Prix. "It is a pleasure to welcome Ricardo and Nelsinho, who each bring different qualities to the team," said team boss Flavio Briatore. "Ricardo will have a key role to play in preparing for 2007, while Nelsinho has shown this year that he deserves his place in Formula One.
