Think old skool. Blow through carb and all that business.

This 1978 Z1RTC 'kawi turbo dropped a valve over 30 years ago and was taken apart in 1980. She only had 1300 miles on the clock at the time. There it sat until the owner passed away in the 90's. Someone else bought the project and he died too. Another guy bought it who had the frame powdercoated and engine rebuilt using better parts and a 1200cc kit.

He lost interest and sold it to me 2 years ago. I dropped it off with my technician 12/2009 for restoration/assembly and he is just about done. Looks pretty nice 'ay?

Yes I'm getting the correct seat and finishing up the details so don't even go there :)

Where do I send the turbo unit for a refresh? The seals are done, dry, toast, etc.

These links are just for fun, not my bike. But the pics below are of mine.

    Yah baby!

Just ordered a kit from these guys and installed it myself. Piece-o-cake it was. Thanks for the tip though.

Yah I'm stoked. I might ride it in the next week or so. Has not been on the road since 1981.

Be very very cool when you first ride. Power band is very tricky, and the tires aren't up to it. There is a reason why these didn't become popular.
