Had my Park City place for 4 years, never seen Christmas time weather like this, so warm and no snow. Kind of wish I'd skipped the pass this year only have taken 6-7 runs this year vs. skied 10-12 days by this time last year. Hope we get snow soon! Not even planning to come back until Feb....nearly 50 today.

I haven't skied yet. My pass is waiting to be used. Don't want to mess up my skies or more importantly my old body. And there is no snow in sight. People here are walking around town in shorts and short sleeve shirts.

It was so windy on New Years they shut down the mountains. Huge lines at the movie theaters.

Pray for snow. Meanwhile the roads are clear and the Fcar is getting some miles on it with the top down.

Yeah, the only good thing was the drive down to Vegas today before going back to SB was clear. Last year places that were -5 were 55 today along I-15.

The last winter like this that I can remember was when I lived in Virginia. It's crazy, I took my Christmas lights down wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
I'll be doing a lot of driving to Idaho this month so I'm ok if we don't get much snow. But we do need a little.

We need the snow for our water supply and fire suppression.

March is our big snow month. fingers crossed.

The way last year went, we'll be getting snow into June. While it has certainly been an abnormal winter, I think we'll get plenty of snow eventually.

I hope we get snow in the mountains, however these nice days have been great for the car detailing business! We were lucky to have a couple of Packards to do during the last snow storm.

I was up for early rathe than late season myself. Being a fly isherman, having the rivers muddy and overflowing heir banks until Early August did put a damper on the mid late summer season. But at this point snow is very welcome, hopefully a great Feb and march.

We're getting snow right now. It's barely enough to stick to the grass though. The mountains will probably get about 6" from this storm.

Yeah, it looks like the CO mountains got around 4"-8", which is nice but they need to get a lot more. It looks like some storms from the Pacific North West are starting to line up.

I have a feeling this will be a late season, rather than no season at all. But it might be too late for some resorts.

Despite the promise(s) of a strong snow season (El Nina), it's been tough. In fact, Vail is just today opening Blue Sky Basin and just yesterday (or the day before) opened limited portions of the back bowls. This is the latest I've seen it open in 24 years.

However, the seasons have shifted about a month or more later. Still, this isn't a good omen for the bookings after Feb 1.
