You are going about it all wrong. My practice is centered around weight and lifestyle management (www.triforlife.net). One of the worst things you can do is increase your output (exercise), and basically stare yourself (1000cal/day).

It might work short term, but if you lose 5kg in a month, 2 months later you will gain 10.

    Listen to this man!!!!!!

Up to 30% of weight lost while under calorie deficit is LBM (Lean Body Mass, aka muscle). You aren't trying to lose weight, you're trying to lose fat. Resistance training, or weight-traing, is not just about building muscle, it's about keeping a 'load' on those muscles so your body knows to retain that muscle and not skin-it in an effort to cope with the energy shortage (calorie deficit).

Also, dropping calories will affect the amount of glycogen stored and made available for your exercise. Each gram of glycogen requires 3 grams of water to sustain on your body; when you drop glycogen, you drop the associated water: this is the 'water weight' they refer to. The moment you start eating carbs or even a reasonable amount of calories, you'll put back the glycogen and water...this is why low-carb and Atkin's-like diets have a deflate/reinflate yo-yo tendency. Avoid gimmicks. You can only burn & lose fat at a certain rate, and doing so at the loss of muscle and setting your metabolism backwards isn't healthy or long-lasting.

Conventional diets have a 95% failure rate; few people can sustain the deficit and most of the weight lost isn't really fat. Good intentions and hardcore discipline only gets you so far and for only so long.

The faster you lose it, the more likely it is to return. I know one phatphuck who opted for some B-vitamin injections while starving himself to the tune of 900 cal's per day. He lost weight real quick, but he inevitably returned to his glutinous ways and gained it all back, along with a distorted body. Gotta be careful!

Given your size & weight, a reasonable deficit is more along the lines of 1,750 to 1,900 calories per day. Whatever exercise you do, you can eat 20%-30% more calories then what the exercise burned (burn 1,000 calories, you can add 200-300 more calories to that day). Your results will be slower and more gradual...but healthier, sustainable and ideally longer-lasting.

Include a lot of skim milk in your diet each day. It will be very beneficial.
