I wonder if many flat 12 owners also own other Ferraris, and if so which ones? Do flat 12 owners tend to also own older Ferraris, newer Ferraris, V8 Ferraris, Dinos? I'll start with me: I have a 1992 512 TR and my other 'Ferrari' is actually a close cousin: 1968 Fiat Dino Spider! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I own a 1976 512 BB and a 2008 599 GTB, pictured below. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have 1984 BBi #51969 and a '04 Challenge Stradale. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ony the one, short of a 250swb or a 288 cant really think of another I would sacrifice one of my other cars to have.
I also have a 1977 308GTB and had a 87 Mondial cab I sold 2 years ago. Thinking about buying a 89 Mondial T coupe.
alex, the nice blue dino spider seems to be a 2 ltr because of the central wheel lock? great car my first F car has been a 250 GT/E, 1963, then I got a second from 1962, ( both to be restored and I have them since more than 30 years ), then a 512 BB koenig and the testarossa koenig competition sorry for no pictures, have reached my limit
'78 308 GTS. Sorry, I don't have any good pictures at hand. I'll post some after I install my euro bumpers and deep front spoiler.
In addition to 512BBi #42849, also have 400GT #22579, which completed my idealized Ferrari-pairing for a garage, as I saw it over 30 years ago. Both are in later phases of restoration, though the Boxer's motor won't be assembled until it's out of paint, heading to the upholsterer. I have a F512M ( red/blk) 8930KM and a 16M (red/blk) - 2600KM; had a 360 (manual) and a 430 spider (F1)
78 BB512 91 TR 86 Mondial 3.2 Cab (wife's) Also the dark side: 1980 Countach LP400S 1982 Countach LP5000S
I have a 1979 512 BB, a 1977 308 GTB, and a 1980 400i GT. It's a great set and I have really enjoyed the fact that my mechanic and storage facility are 55 miles away from my house. I always keep one and home and two in storage and I rotate them around every few weeks. I recently drove the 512 BB to storage and brought the 400i GT home. It's fun to compare the cars back to back on the same roads. The 400i GT is home for good and shortly I will begin a marketing campaign to sell the car. It's truly a great example of a typically neglected model. They are really great cars when properly maintained and fully sorted. here's my current 1990 TR ... sorry I was having trouble posting 2 photos in the previous reply. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just bought my Testarossa two weeks ago, so haven't even had a change to drive it other then few kilometers. 1977 308 GTB 1978 308 GTS 1981 308 GTBi 1979 512BB 1986 Testarossa Not a F-car, but worth to mention 1982 Countach 5000S 1992 Diablo Have to take group photo some day from all V12 cars. Very exciting to see how Testarossa compare to other big cars and what was result from supercar rivalry in that era.
Hi Alex To keep my 512TR company I have a 72 Dino 246GT and have just added a 458 Spider. My wife doesn't see the harmony of 12, 8 and 6 cylinders but heck... on a separate note where in France are you? I am based in London but have a place in SoF and always looking for kindred spirits Pics to follow
In addition to my 1986 Testarossa (recently acquired, not driven yet and currently being serviced), I have a 1989 412 5 speed. I see from the forum that quite a few have a 400 and BB pairing - anybody else with a late 80s pairing of Testarossa and 412? David
I spend 2/3 of my time in Paris, and 1/3 near Uzès (between Avignon and Nîmes). I keep my cars in Uzès - the weather and the empty country roads are just amazing...
