For PS2, Logitech Driving Force Pro. I just built a cockpit for myself too.

We should have a PC/PS2 racing cockpit thread. I've finished mine, and will post a picture or two. Very adjustable & comfortable, made using the $40 JEGs seat (avalaible from Summit too), some angle aluminum, and wood rails for the case. I'm using the Logitec pro wheel too, as the alternatives are way beyond my budget for this endevour.

Lets see the cockpits guys, I want one too! I like the playseats they have at Frys, but $300 seems a bit pricey.

    Nice!

Looks like a fun DIY project!

Do you have a drawing or dimensions of the bits and pieces you can post?

Here is mine. Also the RCI seat, available at Jegs, Summit, JC Whitney. Seat was $100 from Jegs delivered with the cover, has nice lumbar support and with an extra foam pad no sorebutt. The $80 Best buy video rocker was flimsy and really uncomfortable, imo, so don't bother.

    Thanks William,

No, I had someone help me with it. I need to take some welding lessons, It's been years for me & I didn't have time or the steady hand like I used to. my first cockpit is a bit rough but can be easly improved. Different sizes, powder coating in different colors, dead pedal, etc... I've had someone contact me about building another unit as well.

Momo Force (red) by Logitech.. I could sell my 2 year old version for three times what I paid for it new on eBay if I wanted.. They are the "Holy Grail" of mainstream PC race wheels.

Now if you want to spend the money, the Frex, etc. is the way to go.

Thanks, I appreciate it! As to making another, well, I guess I should cad it up and see where improvements could be made.

Will, is yours steel? It looks like it weighs about 50 pounds!

If you're going to build a second one, you might as well make 3.....

I have the Logitech Momo steering wheel for the pc. Its the one with the paddle and sequential shifter. Its actually a really nice wheel, I've been meaning to build a frame for it. The ones posted here look awesome, I am going to go one step further and add a harness to it. :D

I just bought the Logitech wheel this weekend. It seems like it is fantastic, but I need to get a setup like what is shown earlier in this thread. As it stands, I can only attach it to my coffee table, and use a dining room chair - way too uncomfortable. I can't justify paying another $300 for a ready-made system, so I will have to explore other options.
