Its not an exotic, but I always had a passion for the Raymond Lowey Studebaker Hawks. A really cool friend of my parents had one and I thought it so different from the rest of the detroit iron of the day. And as it happens, I've just bought one of the last of the line, a 63 Stude Gran Tourismo. There were only 10,000 or so produced from 62 to 64 and very few had the 4barrel carb 289 V8 like mine. It is on its way here to Europe as i write and I cant wait. Here are a couple pics from outside the dealer.

I wish I had the first car I ever owned, a 1954 Jaguar XK120M, or at least buy it for what I paid for it in 1960, $800. Car was fast and loud, only ticket was for a loud exhaust. Car was a good California car, as it was not exactly water tight.

    Hi Greg,

Following "the love of my life", which is a 246 Dino, I would have to say that the 56-57 Corvette (with stick) is my second all time favorite. Both of these works of art, have lines that excite, in ways that include, sexy.

    Oh well ......... :)

    My bucket list is endless.

    - Amilcar CGSs. A pre-war cycle car with a sporty touch. I like those sigar-cars a lot, it makes driving another league.
    - Lancia Fulvia 1.2 HF. A first series sportscoupe in Amaranto Montobello (dark red/burgundy) with the yellow/blue Torino striping. A pocket rocket. I've had berlina's, coupes and a zagato in the Fulvia range, but a real dark red HF is very high on the wish list.
    - Ferrari 348 gtb. Beautiful styled.
    - Porsche 964 (or 993). Beautiful lines, fantastic engine, but now overpriced.
    - Mercedes C AMG from the early years: lot's of power in a dull family saloon. And soo cheap you'll buy 2.
    - Fiat Dino 2400 coupe. Wonderfull car, marvelous engine(-noise).

    If money was no issue:
    - Bizzarini gt 5300 Strada
    - Lamborghini Miura SV Spyder
    - Stanguellini (doesn't matter what model, it's all big fun)
    - a Singer Porsche 911 (or a souped up version of that Walker guy)
    - Jaguar F-type
    Oh, and what the heck
Just trow in a Maserati birdcage if you like.

I guess, if money was no issue, I need to open a museum with a racetrack in the backyard. I could drive all the cars and the rest of the world could enjoy my collection. I once visited a beautiful car collection in Loheac in France (Bretagne). It was from the owner of a funky Peugeot based kitcar factory (Hummel I think). Every car drove and his collection was marvelous. One of the nicest collections I've ever seen.

The Dino is timeless and incredibly beautiful.
I do also like the 56/57 Corvette's but just a bit underpowered in my opinion, but if you've got an extra one I'll take it!
    Cheers,
PS Mondi not back from major yet as the clasique certification is on-going, but can't wait to drive it again this summer after being gone a year!

Honestly, I have never been much of a fan of the Dino.
I would rather have Hanks Pagota.

I guess that's why there are so many flavor of ice cream.......

I went to a car show yesterday and there was a nero 308 qv that immediately caught my eye before I even made it to the parking lot. I of course looked at all the cars there but I kept finding my way back to the 308. I really gotta' get me one of those!
