I'd suspect somewhere between $100K and $200K in US dollars on a good day.

Based on the picture of the dashboard, it should go for about $700.

totally irresponsible driving I'm afraid. NOT the way to drive this beast especially on the small side streets. I was waiting for a kid on a bicycle to ride out in front of the car. BAD BAD BAD.

Then on the main thoughofares, the driver totally ignores the "35" mph sign and drives as if he were on a race track.

THAT is where this kind of driving belongs... ON THE TRACK!

The conditions that the driver decided to ignore common sense just showed what kind of idiot he is.

My apologies - I had been looking for a sound clip and hadn't paid enough attention to the video content before posting that.

    Sincerely,

    not a probelm.

All too often the "coolness" of a car isn't reflected in the "coolness" of their driving.
A cool car does not a cool driver make.

Another thing on the video I thought was funny was the statement that the design is "timeless"... man it sure does look dated to the '80's now ;)

The M12 I drove once was Lambo powered and a manual. I guess all the M8s were automatics.

yeah that guy isn't very cool at all. I heard he has hair and a dog. Word on the street is he once pushed an elderly lady down at the local supermarket because she had 11 items in a "10 items or less" lane. very uncool.

Yes - the M12 is VASTLY different than the w8. Having performed literally hundreds of hours of repairs to the M12 I maintain, I can safely say there was a gross neglect of quality control and proper engineering. The w8 was claimed to be held to "aircraft" building standards. I believe more engineering went into building it.
The M12, in my opinion ,was built like a kit car.
I have yet to see a w8 in person, but I would really like to compare....

    this is #6 btw..

All "knocking" of the car aside, It is a very interesting peice of American automotive history

Not so surprising that Top Gear wasn't allowed to test top speed; W2 would probably have become airborn.
Nevertheless, W2 looked pretty good to me, and it looked well constructed too. Wiegert told me at the time that W2 could be pumped to 1000hp with the boost wheel.

Then W8 came, basically looking like W2 with a lot of design-spoiling aerodynamic aids. It started to look like a kit car then already.

M12 was a disaster from the start. Looked like a cheap kit, and the problems Vector had with Lamborghini (I seem to remember they had ordered 200 powerplants?) must have contributed in an important way to the demise.

I'd love to have W2 in my garage though....she's a beautiful automobile.

no, it was a sale at 250k plus tax (17% VAT in the UK) and buyers fee (12%). So the buyer paid 330k US$ for the car.
