Vail Automotive Classic - Sept. 6 & 7

I cant wait, should be an exciting beautiful couple of days

 

I hate that I'll miss it this year.

 

Have fun out there with your son. Wish I could caravan out there with ya. I will get some bodywork done this winter to my rear flares so I can put some real DOT tires that won't go flat at the drop of a hat. I'll be able to go on some longer drives next summer. Kinda frustrating with all these great roads and destinations.

I can't make it Saturday, but I should be able to get up there on Sunday. Not sure yet which co-pilot I'll be bringing

 

I wish I could be there but I'll be in the Ozarks until Sunday at the Crescent Classic...next year 😃

 

If you are going to be in Vail, it is worth noting that by the end of the day on Sunday the 7th, many if not most of the cars participating in the Colorado Grand will be in the parking structure at the Cascade Resort.

 

Great point Ron! Seeing the CO1000 cars show up is a fantastic experience. Breathtaking for any car fan. Maybe I can break away and drive up Sunday.

Any idea what time the cars would start rolling in on the 7th?

 

My experience is they come in all day...most in transports. Some like to get in early so they can make sure the cars are ready to drive the next day. The cars will still be in the garage the next morning...you can see just about all the cars then...plus they are clean. The show after the ralley the cars are dirtier.

Thanks for the reply. I would love to see them all Sunday, but they'll all be in their trailers i'm sure.

 

In the past the've started unloading the cars around mid-morning and it goes on all day and into the evening.

Was a great show, and seeing all the Grand cars in the parking garage by themselves... Awesome day.

 

Anyone know the cars that are going to be colorado grands

 

The car show,,,, meh, nice 308, typical Cobra kit car, couple porsche etc..

But the Colorado Grand Parking Garage!! The Holy grail of cars!!!

Was there any 250 gtos, ferrari testarossa, any bugattis, thanks for posting those pics thou

 

GTO's were a one year only deal as cars must be 1960 or earlier

 

The Colorado Grand parking garage destroyed the actual car show in town, except for the 959... But the Grand cars are just too awesome.
