Cashmere... now that would be pimp. All kidding aside, "a man's got to know his limitations" when it comes to cleaning some of those unique materials. I vote stick to Alcantara or leather, but that's just me. Ray Image Unavailable, Please Login

Yes this was done through Tailor Made, it’s more like a very smooth leather, although it has a slight rubbery texture to it. You can tell my touching that it isn’t leather. It seems to be holding up very well in the year I’ve had it. I did the mats in the same material and they are a breeze to take care of, a light wipe down with plain water and the look as good as new. Good luck with the specification. I think the material would work very well on the 812C, it feels like a 'racy' material, which is why I did it on the Pista. Look forward to seeing what you choose!
I have it on my Pista floor mats. It is a wonderful material with an interesting texture/feel. And, as you say, easy to care for.
