    Gentleman -

I'm planning another motorcycle trip for early August - planning on leaving Crosslake, MN, on August 4 and heading to Escanaba for the night. On Monday, follow Lake Michigan to Charlevoix. Would like to pontoon for a day - Torch Lake or Charlevoix on Tuesday. Wednesday heading to Traverse City for a day or two and then head for home on Thursday or Friday.

Any recommendations for roads to do in that area, hotels, restaurants, tips, ideas, etc... ???

    Thanks,

    MDS

If you're going to the Traverse City area, I highly recommend checking out Leland which is about a half hour outside the city. Have a safe and fun trip!

You can go south from Leland, there are some nice roads. North of there is Omena and a bar there called "Knot Just A Bar" the view is great but the food isn't.

Explore Fishtown for sure (downtown Leland).

Just about anywhere up there is beautiful. Enjoy!

Great bike roads, I have done it many a time.

You must visit Leg's Inn and do the Tunnel of Trees:

    Also M22

Don't forget Bellaire. There is not much there but Short's Brewery, but that is worth the trip. We stayed at the Bellaire Inn so we could leave the bikes and walk.
