Many of you will remember that the Greenville Delaware Car show for the Benefit of the Boys and Girls Club of Delaware is the last Big East coast show of the Season. Its always well attended and fun because of the ability to buy your way into a Peoples choice Award. :) There has typically been in the neighborhood of 100 Cars at this event and lots to see and do including great Restaraunts and wonderful shopping in the immediate vicinity of the show. We usually get a terrific turnout of really rare stuff and being a multi Marque Show you get Ferrari,Porsche,Lotus, Aston Martin,Jaguar,Audi,BMW and Lambo's just to name a few. Please mark your calendars now. If you attended the show in the past please weigh in here with your experience for the benefit of those yet to have the opportunity to join us. See you October 1st at the Greenville Delaware Concourse!! Jon in Delaware
Contact myself or Nick (nickd here on Fchat ) if you have questions
It is a by invitation event as we must control the number and type of car allowed since the shopping center sponsors this event. They also make a sizable donation on behalf of the merchants at the shopping center towards the Boys and Girls club.

A fantastic event! Our entire family had a great time. Hopefully the Mondial will be invited again this year, if for no other reason but to show all you fancy Scuderia owners what a REAL Ferrari looks like :D

Following on from last year's theme of naming the parking areas after national race circuit - this year we'll be using famous drivers .....

    I propose the following :

    British Area - Jimmy Clark
    Italian Area - Alberto Ascari
    German Area - Rudolf Caracciola

if y'all could let me know you mode of transport for the day that would be very helpful in making sure we don't run out a space...... And big thanks for making the commitment ...

you can sign up via this page also http://delawarepca.net/Greenville_Crossing.php
don't be fooled you don't have to have a Porsche to sign up !!

You should have the Carroll Shelby area for American sports cars.

and while you are at it, rename the Italian section "Tazio Nuvolari." It's time to give the legend his due ;)

By the way, its strange we haven't bumped into each other yet. Do you know Jon Walton by any chance :D

Joe, that boxster is rubbing off on you, you are even thinking like Dr P......

Dr Ferdinand Porsche called Nuvolari "The greatest driver of the past, the present, and the future."

So we best make sure we change the italian section to Nuvolari ...

    British Area - Jimmy Clark
    Italian Area - Tazio Nuvolari
    German Area - Rudolf Caracciola

Yes I did! At "Lotus speed" the cold cut through my leather jacket and hat in less than a mile. February was warmer than mid December.

If you're gonna have an area for mixed and matched cars, go with Mario Andretti.

American/Italian who has driven cars made in just about every major market in the world.

Brit cars, American Cars, Italian cars, German cars, hell, I heard he owned a Yugo at one point. :D

I think he's perfect for the fourth area.

I would be happy to attend with the Viper, to help the American representation. If it is European only, that's fine, I'll come as a spectator then!

I'm in for the 3rd year. Not sure what section I will be in. Definitely the Italian section, but I might bring a second car for one of the other sections.

Scott the show is aimed at European and Exotics - so the Viper fits.

this guy so wants to be at the event he's forgotten to tighten a couple of things

    Nick,
If we are going to talk about America's impact on international racing, the conversation must focus on Ford's domination at Le Mans in the late 1960s. America has never again had such a profound impact on international autosport.

Gurney is a great choice too...but I vote for Shelby :)

Glad to see the announcement of the event is once again well received. I estimate the parking lot will be full again. Its funny all year long I have people who are not in the inner circle of the car community come to me and say " have you ever been to the car show they have in Greenville...it awesome?" of course they have no idea of my involvement. It says a lot about the reputation of this event and the good will this event brings to so many. Thanks for your quick and enthusiastic responses.

Hey Nick can you post the flier? I cant get it to post anything other than the silly link.
