What do you guys think (looks and four wheel drive)? Geneva Motor Show comments: Can a wagon really be good-looking? If it's the Pininfarina-designed Ferrari FF it can. Replacing the 612 Scaglietti in Ferrari's stable, the FF is the first all-wheel-drive Ferrari. FF stands for Ferrari Four, which refers to the car's four seats and 4-wheel drive. Its design features a nose inspired by the 458 Italia, with the long hood and short deck that have been trademarks of sports cars since their inception. Under the hood lies a 6.3-liter V12 engine that makes 651 horsepower and 504 lb-ft of torque. Zero to 62 mph takes just 3.7 seconds and the top speed is 208 mph. Image Unavailable, Please Login
"Ferrari FF .... the FF is the first all-wheel-drive Ferrari. FF stands for Ferrari Four" Ferrari Ferrari Four?
Probably sacrilege to say, but reminds me of a bigger version of the Z4 hatchback. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Still Ferrari managed to make it uglier. And uglier than the Panamera too, which I thought was impossible to accomplish . It's just plain fugly. Don't know what Ferrari was thinking when doing this, but wish them luck.
is anyone else getting nervous by the way this car looks and ferrari's styling direction? I have to admit I LOVE the profile of the 458.. but aside from that I am NOT a fan of the front headlights on it.. which they are copying here in the FF.. I find the 612 to be the sexier car here.. and it is starting to worry me.. Will all future ferrari's have this headlight "look" it's not appealing to me.. this kinda sucks..
Not my cup of tea... Personally I'd rather have the 612.. a littlel classier in my eye and reminds me of the grand tourers of the Enzo's era to a greater degree..
Last time i saw a car like that Bud Cort was wisely driving it off a cliff. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zexCVdpQtcM&feature=related[/ame]
Agree. The Bimmer looks WAAY better. I have posted a number of times on the FF section; I detest this thing.
Can someome at Ferrari invoke the spirit of Enzo before they make any final decisions on their designs... Sheesh!
What exactly are you worrying about? Ferrari is selling all their cars. Easily. Apperantly there are a lot of wealthy costumers that do like the way Ferrari is going. And what do you mean by :will all future Ferrari'[s have this headlight look? Surely you understand that somewhere in the future Ferrari's will have different headlights or no headlights at all? The future is a long time and it will probably bring us many, many more Ferrari's.
This car is really starting to grow on me. Up till recently, Ferrari in opinion, has always been second to Lamborghini, but lately, this has just not been the case. The cars Ferrari have been building nowadays are so finely crafted that it is apparent that they really put a lot of thought into making these cars. The 458 and the FF are clear examples of how Ferrari managed to pull off such ambitious projects. I don't know of any other company in the business that has managed to build a high performance car that goes over 200 mph and still maintain the necessity of practicality. And for that, I believe the FF will be one of Ferraris best.
Pinninfarina (the best design house in the world) taking cues from Chris Bangle (one of the worst designers in the world who ruined BMW for me) is not a good thing. 458 looks great and screams "ferrari". FF, not so in my opinion. I'm sure an awesome car in it's own right, but the design really doesn't do it for me- they can make a 2+2 that looks a lot more inspiring/classic/cutting edge all at the same time, but this car is not it. Opinions are like a-holes- everyone's got one
well i went to the car show tonight. i saw the FF in 4 different colors. the only one that it looked good in was the dark grey over cuio. i liked it a bit better than from the photos, and the dealer tells me he has sold about 20 already - but then again geneva people will buy anything thats new and expensive. he also says it is immensely capable. its a strange look frankly. it might grow on me some more. but i will have to see some more of them. maybe an acquired taste btw, makes the 599 gtb look like a svelte little car....
