Not yet. It amounts up to .5GB and with 1GB left on the hard drive I said no. I have a USB and will transfer everything from TDU soon.
Is the fix for selling in an update?
Additionally, it said there were updates I needed and I was looking through them and all I found was mandatory update 01 and 03 but no 02. Do you know why?

Win races, drive around on new roads, look for the wrecked cars, and buy stuff (clothes, haircuts, avatar modifications, furniture). Primarily win races at your point.

I'm so bad at this game apparently. I just reread the part of this thread after everyone just bought the game and everyone had a 16m and bugatti quickly. I'm still in a 4spot mansion with a lowly r7 alfa Romeo.
    Two questions:
can I go offline without unplugging my wireless adapter? I dont care to drive with random people who normally just stand in the middle of the road.
    And
    Is there an Fchat club?
Thanks for helping me even though you guys stopped playing a year ago.

Give it time. It takes awhile to get up to where you are REALLY raking in the money. It took me about 3 weeks to win all of the tournaments. The pointless license tests added to that time.

This is what I did. While you are still doing tournaments, go with the "bare minimum". Get the cheapest houses that can accomodate your collection, and only get cars as you need them. Though, when you're done with the specific class tournament, DO NOT SELL THEM. There will be three Cup events (one on Ibiza, two on Oahu) that will use cars from each class. The Cup events are unlocked when all tournaments are completed on an island. Upon completion of the first Hawaii Cup, the second Cup on Oahu will be unlocked.

I used my money sparingly, and now I have a decent 41 car collection over 9 houses. And I still have 2 million dollars left. :D

Yes. Go into the option menu and you can disable online interactions. You will still see them on the map and when you are in shops browsing but you won't see them on the road.

I don't think there was a Fchat club but 4REphotographer made a Veyron club if I recall correctly.

Some of the licence tests are annoying. Each tourney or Cup brings big money with it. I think winning the Ibiza cup is worth $1mill.

Some guys made their money thru the bugged casino.

Also of note, the Cups do come with prize cars. It's recommended you stay on Ibiza and finish all of the tournaments and the Cup before going to Oahu. You get lots of money plus a free Lotus Evora.

Thanks to everyone who has been giving me advice on this old game.
I've taken my time but I just finished the A7 champ and now doing A6 (I hate this one) and am using the 370z.
I was just forced to go to Hawaii (became level 10) but I plan on heading back to Ibiza.
Could anyone explain how the cars go back and forth between islands? Is it just whatever car I'm currently driving that hops over or what?

I saw that 4REphotographer made a bugatti club but he mentioned for owners only in a post. I've got 250k in the bank so I'm a quarter of the way there!!

    THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY!!

I saved up all my money just to buy a Zonda Cinque  Then I drove everywhere in it to get the 100% all roads :D

The weird handling is the only reason I'm not still playing it (tho the last patched fixed it??) but I do go back from time to time.

It doesn't matter where the cars are located. Just goto your house/garage and pick the car you want to drive. The latest patch lets you move your cars around between garages/islands just so you can enjoy looking at them in the garage but it doesn't matter where they actually are.

Just keep in mind, you won't be able to buy a Bugatti (A1) until you obtain the appropriate license.

Yes, the handling was fixed. You can really tell on the RUF cars.

Neither of these things are true. I started playing again on PC and I have no licenses at all and plenty of expensive cars. The handling still sucks, it's about as far from realistic as you can get.

I'll add that when doing the races in the tournaments it is ok to cut corners and in some cases it will be the only way to get 1st. There is nothing to stop you except a tree or house so always look for ways to cut corners.

You'll want to get a first in the tournaments but you don't have to get 1st in each respective race to do so. You can pick the order in which you do the races so what I did was race the easiest ones first which would get me a 1st place standing and do the hardest one last. I could get a 3rd or so and still finish the tournament in 1st so there was no need to keep trying the hard one to get a 1st place.

As suggested, it is best to finish Ibiza before competing in Hawaii. Of course when you unlock Hawaii go there and check it out, explore and look at the houses and test drive cars.

Another fun way to check out cars and make some cash is the bomb missions.

Its cool that you are anxious to get to the good stuff but the value in the game in the journey that gets you there. You got it at the best time. The game can be bought new for $20. The DLC we waited a year for is now out. They made some needed improvements to gameplay so right now the game is the best its ever been. If you follow the natural progression of the game you will be rewarded with hours and hours of gameplay which will most likely take you right up to the release of Forza Horizon to complete :)

I know what you mean about cutting corners. It has helped me a little except in time trial. It gives me a stupid penalty for putting a tire off the road even though half the time it hurts me more than helps me. That's the most frustrating thing for me.
I try to win the first few races then settle for anything on the last one.
Convoy bomb missions are my favorite (except the timed ones) since I drive cool cars and make a ton of money.
I'm sort of patient in getting a ton of money. I've got 360k right now but im saving (it's my nature)

I'm enjoyig the game so far. I always enjoy just weaving in traffic or just cursing in a fun car.

Thank you to everybody who has helped.

    Hmmm...never knew that.

But, the handling has been improved a bit. Still not the best, but tolerable.

Finally got my first Ferrari!!! After careful budgeting, I bought a beautiful Rossa Corsa 430 Scuderia over an all Nero interior. I was so excited that I forgot to break going into the first round a bout near the ibiza Ferrari dealer :(
I made my way over to my house (the house I strategically bought near the ferrari dealer) to snap a couple pics like Blackbird007 did(btw, were those just cell phone pics of your tv?) but as soon as I entered, my Xbox decided to freeze and I turned it off for the night.
    2 questions:
What's an easy way to get rid of scratches, broken fenders, etc on your car?
    And
Any tips for the 70 mile time trial? By reading earlier posts it sounds like it'll take an hour. Time trials are my weak point (I'm good at racking up penalties and not turning correctly). My plan is to win all the other events and expect nothing better than last on the time trial.

I plan on buying another house and an Enzo with the winnings :) or at least make my way towards that because my next house will have 6 spaces I think. Not sure yet.

Thanks again to everyone for sticking with me on this outdated and bad game :)

Yes, those were cell pics. There is an in-game photo mode but it's crappy and you can't get them off of the system.

To get rid of scratches and such, simply go to one of your houses, enter, then exit.

The 70 mile time trial has no penalty system. You should get first in it easily on the first try.

I've finally got the hang of the game. It's not too bad if you can ignore the unreal sounds the cars make and the not so great handling and just accept what it is. I've enjoyed it mostly.

    Only complaints:
The timed bomb convoys are ridiculous! Driving on the grass slightly will drop your $$ so quick but running head on to a guy at 150mph will drop you only a couple hundred bucks. These challenges are hard but the pay is nice but seems to become relatively less as you progress in the game.

Don't get me started on the penalty system for time trials. That's my achilles. Running into a telephone pole is bad enough, but receiving a 2.5 second penalty is like pouring rubbing alcohol into a fresh cut.

Aside from cursing at those two problems, I've managed to begin building a collection. I have 2 houses (1 on hawaii (4car garage) and 2 on ibiza (4&6 car garages)). I have 9 cars I think and 3 have served no purpose but I just had to get them!!

    Questions:
What cars do you recommend for A4 and A3? I've heard a lot of mixed results but I value this board's opinion the most.
For A2 I think I'll just use the scuderia (if that fails then there's always the RUF) and A1- the Enzo or Zonda F but might just buy a Bugatti for fun.

For A4 and A3, I went with Astons - DB9 in A4, and DBS in A3. A2, I used my Scuderia. A1, get a Veyron. You'll be racing another Veyron in the A1 cups, and if you plan on being second in everything, use one of the two A1 cars you have.

I went with the Zonda Cinque in the A1 class. I remember racing the Veyron and was able to beat it. The key was getting a really good start and being faster in the turns. The Veyron was faster on the straight but slowed considerably in a few turn sections and that was the difference for me.

One fun thing about the pics is you can take a pic and save it, then go to you house, face a picture hanging on the wall in your living room and when the prompt comes up you can load the picture into the frame hanging on the wall. Being a photographer I always liked this little extra :) It does stink there is no way to get the pictures to your PC like you can in Forza and thankfully it looks like Horizon will carry on the Forza feature.

The other night I was on the long road next to the Hawaii Airport in a Zonda Roadster and a biker gang ( 4 ) pulled up beside me and then started doing wheelies and stuff as we went the length of the road in a group with everyone driving cool. I have to say it was pretty fun.

Then my sister got on and we got on the airport runway and were drag racing from one end to the other. Soon all eight cars in our lobby were on the airport runway and they were all lining up with us. Someone got the bright idea to countdown 3- 2- 1 with the horn and all of us were drag racing on the runway. It was hilarious.

After that we went to my sister's Loft house on Ibiza so she could show me her new decor ( rolls eyes ) and when we came back outside there was a group at the top of the driveway taking turns jumping over each other with bikes and cars. We watched for a bit and then I went and got my Lancia Stratos, got in the grass next to the driveway and hit the hill at full speed and jumped over everyone and landed on the hill behind them :)

Sure TDU2 missed the mark on several things but there still is plenty of fun to be had.

I found out about the picture thing and thought that was a good idea. I haven't taken many pictures but will probably start doing so soon.

I didn't know you could get on the runway? I tried finding an opening but I never did.

Sounds like I'll have to cough up a lot of money for a Veyron in order to win easily. I'll try first with my "slow" supercars.

Str8tshooter, what cars did you use for A4 and A3? I don't want to use the DBS for A3 since it costs real money.

Thanks for the ideas blackbird. I think I'll use the DB9 in A4 but not sure yet.
