Spare Tire Belt replaced, for obvious reasons. I used a "human" belt with the correct fabrication method and size/tone combined with the cleaned up original buckle zone, which is fixed to the belt via a threaded rivet.

Clock LED Element Replacement - One of the bars started to be intermittent before it failed. I managed to identify the LED elements originally used and found the correct current type with identical physical size and pin layout. Removing the broken unit was a bit tricky and the whole PCB and components became very hot. Refitting the new part was easy however and il all works fine again.

The rear badges looked a touch tired too, and the quattrovalvole was clearly on a wavy baseline

Interesting detail: The letters are glossy, the spaces/links are matt. Straightening of the badges... careful. Repainting:

As a new QV owner and trying to figure out the car, this is amazing, and inspiring. I won't be able to do 1/10 of what you have done, but seeing someone as passionate and dedicated. That Mondial is very lucky to have you as an owner.

Removing the front blinker lenses revealed an unusual decay pattern of the reflector hosing. The parking light reflector's side and lower walls started crumbling to dust with the vaporised aluminum coating almost gone. The blinker side is solid. Why? My best guess is that the blinker's orange lens filters UV while the clear parking lens doesn't.

    Rebuilding will be a challenge.

The lenses themselves are heavily damaged from stone impacts that lead to pits and cracks:

The ss frames cleaned up but are showing surface damage:

Cleaning up the lenses showed one side severely damaged:

With the missing parts available, I used MEK to weld it all up again into a solid single piece:

The MEK doesn't remove the visibilty of the crack, but they are absolutely solidly welded.
I wet sanded the external surface and clear coated both sides with Nippon Paint spray can, a superb product leading to a very thin, shiny coating

I have tried to find new/used lenses in better condition. They are either not available or insanely dear. To my research they were only used on Mondial 8 and QV and Bitter SC cars. The part number is of the French-made unit by CIBIE is 40.76K 034.
I have inquired the cost of reproduction based on an original part, vacuum cast into silicon molds and assembled, with 3 different suppliers, for a production run of 4, 1o and 15 units to see the incidence of economies of (small) scale. 25-20 shots are the limit of the silicon mold, after which the quality may get reduced and new investment would be necessary. It turned out that each of the 3 companies was best for one of the potential production runs. Here potential cost of 1 or 2 lenses shipped to the US with trackable airmail:

The surface and geometric quality of the reproduction part is logically lower than the original's. It is therefore necessary to get the best possible original part for creating the mold. The surface quality of mine, even restored, is not "worth" reproducing, but not a problem for re-equipping my own car and passing the MOT.

Here my questions to the Mondial 8 and QV - and Bitter SC - owners:

    - Is there an interest in a small scale reproduction of lenses?
    - Is there someone who would send me perfect lens for reproduction? It will not suffer, the silicon mold creation process doesn't involve any danger to the original.
    - If so, please compile a list with names and number of units here below
