That car is nuts, looks like an alien in some of the shots! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I still think its kind of ugly, but in every picture I see its starting to look better and better. Just get rid of that ugly roof scoop
I love the car. I love the styling. I love the fact that it has more torque on take-off than an M1 Abrams. Beyond that, I have a hard time getting over the notion that this could be an Audi TT Type R with a simple change of the grill and badging.
I dont get this car at all... first, it is (to me) fugly. But hey, eye of the beholder and all that. But second, are they really going to get some obscene performance level from it? To me, beyond 600-700hp, it becomes more about the engineering to actually be able to use some of the HP rather than how much you have. 1000hp will likely spin the tires all the way to 130mph, so why is that better than spinning up to 100mph with 750hp? Second, I have been hearing about this car for years it seems. Tons of changes, quirks, fixes and mishaps it seems like. It reminds me of the XJ220. I think when they finally release it (if they do), its going to be a massive flop. I dont know what MSRP on the thing is, but it should be $450k, but somehow I imagine its a multiple of that.
Take a look at the stats: W16, Mid-engine quad-turbo 7993 cm³ Power 736 kW (1001 PS) at 6000/min max. Torque 1250 Nm at 2200/min four wheel drive Performance 0100 km/h in 2,5 s 0200 km/h in 7,3 s 0300 km/h in 16,8 s Verified Top Speed 407 km/h Preis: 1,160,000 Euro or about 1,400,000 USD. I love that car!
Definetley enhanced (brightness, contrast, etc.) but I think its for the better because it makes the car almost look like its glowing there all by itself.
This car gets to much negative coverage.Any one who knows about it understands that it is amazing. The only thing autocar magazine said was wrong with it is, that is was so well engineered that it was'nt exhilerating to drive like a Mclaren f1 or a Ferrari f40.So looking at it another way the only thing wrong with it is, its to good to be exciting because youre not going to scare yourself witless trying to accesss its top end! Geez what sort of criticism is that?
Sick-k-k shots. The car is starting to grow on me. Did you catch the picture of the tire. I don't think I've ever seen a tire that wide on a production car!
Why does everybody hate this car. I think its great. The styling is a little questionable but I think the engine is fascinating. Below are a couple more pictures from the link above Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The more reviews I read about this car the more I like it. I wouldn't want to own one but I sure as hell would love to try it out.
For those who want some of these in high res ... http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-2006-Bugatti-Veyron-Targa-Florio.htm
I just looked at the photos. Looks like a lot of fun. The key hole looks pretty filthy. Must have done a lot of full speed runs. Also, is it just me or does the front always look like it's not closed well? I think it looks incredible. I love the first pic of it coming off the truck. I wonder if there will be one at SEMA? I doubt it...but ya never know
Fast as a greased pig and looks like one too. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
.....................and the huge amount of drag caused by that ricer wing on the back. Too bad they didn't utilize the underbody aerodynamics similar to what is used on Enzos I liked the pictures I saw of the car in it's black and maroon paint scheme. Very nice.
Not edited in software. They are using lights and reflectors to create the lighting effects in many of the shots. In some it is nothing more than an enhanced flash fill, like the photo of the two men filling the gas tank (on the website link). On others, such as the one you posted, they are lighting the entire car by portable strobes and reflectors. Most likely a small field kit consisting of two lights and some 'umbrellas'. There is some awesome photography there. Did anyone see the Aston in the test video footage, which passes they Veyron at speed on the 'Ring? Funny to see -- I wonder if those test drivers have friendly competition
It's not pretty, but it sure is impressive. Menacing is more like it. And you can't argue with the power and speed.
