Viper GTS, mine was supercharged. Most modern cars are too refined to be exciting but the second generation Viper was a blast. And they don't break down!

I'm 21, so the only single best performance car I've driven is my friends M6 convertible. I was up to 80 in no time, and it was such a smooth car.

    2001 Viper RT/10 - wish I still owned it.

I haven't driven that many "performance" cars. 300ZX twin turbo, Mazda RX7, Porsche 944, Mustang GT, C5 Corvette Convertible, that's about it.

    What he said :)

I recently drove a 600+ rwhp Turbo NSX coupe that was purely wild, and in many ways reminded me of the F40.

I've taken this car out on the highway, through the suburbs, in the city and this Ferrari impressed me. The balance around the corners and acceleration are incredible. There was this constant sense of being in tune with the car, having control and handling its own on the road masterfully. This little Ferrari in my opinion is the best of all worlds, it did everything right.

Friends 800whp r32 skyline gtr. Friend was riding and asked me if I was insane, then promptly proceeded to crash it 2 weeks later. now he has another one tuned to a paltry 375whp. I keep telling him the old one was magic to make the new one to the specs of the old one, but he thinks 375whp is good enough for him. How can someone do that? Mind you in my personal opinion with 800whp the car was a bit of a handful, and could only be driven if you gave it all your attention. But I think 500whp is reasonable enough. Oh well hopefully I can get my own soon enough, then I can build up my dream r32.

You have just described a boosted NSX coupe.
Ours is tuned for high end output, but there are many systems that yield fat torque curves lower in the rev band.
I think Isaac can attest to the rest of the attributes ;^D

Well, my dad's Porsche is a US-spec model - but it has the varioram feature.

    Quick description: Performance2and4.co.uk - Buying a Porsche 911 993 272 hp or Varioram 285 HP

When you're at full throttle and above a certain RPM, a little valve opens, the engine note changes to be louder and far more urgent, and you get extra power. :)

I don't know if it's supposed to be called something different in the US. Is it?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

A Viper? LOL. OMG, some of you have a great sense of humor. What are you comparing it to, a Jeep? Honestly, a Viper would not even be in my top 10.

Here is my list in order:
    1. Lamborhini Gallardo (at the top of the food chain)
    2. Nissan GTR
    3. F430
    4. BMW 550i with Sports Package

Yes. I've driven all of these cars multiple times. And I've driven a couple of Vipers, including the new generation.
