Hi, I am new to this forum. Is Santana Row meet happening this coming Saturday? and if it is, is it only Ferraris meet? or any kind of Euro Cars are welcomed? me (E46 M3) and my buddy (Dinan Spercharged M3) would like to come out and check out all the nice cars. also i do photography for hobby so I'd like to shoot some cars. My photo Gallery http://www.pbase.com/sogti Hope to see you there!
It has never been a Ferrari-only gathering, nor was it ever intended to be. I think some people may have gotten the wrong message since it was conceived here on FChat, but it's always just been about *enthusiasts*. The gathering happens essentially every Saturday, though I imagine the turnouts will be smaller with this cold(er) weather. However, I understand some people even showed last Saturday, and that was supposed to be one of the coldest, if not THE COLDEST, day of the year. Hope to see you out there sometime, though I don't know if I'll make it this Saturday.
nice pics man. it's definitely not just fcars (in fact fcars are the minority sometimes). A few people come just to take pics (including me) and tag along for the drive afterwards. All really friendly people...
thanks guys. I just saw Santana Row Meet threads on 6speedonline too. Great way to meet another enthusiasts. Usually car meets tend to "Ferrari only" "BMW only" so this kind of meet is very nice for all of us to get to know and appreciate other cars. I might bring some more friends to this meet this weeked. Hopefully, the weather will get warmer this weekend....
I think I might be in the minority...I go to see the people, make new friends and hangout with old friends. I'm less interested in the cars and taking pictures at SR for some reason. It's all about the people that make these gatherings fun. -Kirby www.itzkirbphotography.com
Don't let the info in the threads fool you though,... it actually starts around 9-9:30 these days. Kirby is right though, I think the highlight is meeting and talking to great people. The cars just make for a pretty backdrop.
I also highly recommend hanging around for the drive after if you have time. I've found that lunch stops are a great way to get to know people too.
It's definitely for the people these days!! I haven't taken photos for so long- Definitely join in on the drives! They are a blast I have sold my motorcycle.... but a new treat is coming!!! It will be in southern california until I get her up north in the Spring or so!!! Hopefully the weather will be okay in 2 weeks. I'll be heading back there and i'll see if i can stop by (but in my car..)
I must agree that it is more fun to talk to people than just looking at the cars. Since we're getting closer, who from here is planning on coming out this week? Peter Hatch
I'll probably be there this weekend. I haven't been there in a few weeks so it'll be good to see you guys/gals
Kirb does the same thing and as a hobby, too (he's doing better, though). However, he has priority! Mike and Josh have permission to collect admission fees!
