In Europe, the GT is more highly desired than the GTS, more often than not. So values for the GT stays closer to the GTS in typical European sales. It is really only in America that GTS values are so high.
Lauda connection or not, neither of those Dino's were very special cars. Spectacular event though !! Would be interesting to know if the pre production F40 sold after the auction, that would give RM 100%.
when you say "very special" what do you mean. almost no dino is a special car, are you referring to the condition?
Wow, some of these results are truly over the top. I guess everything currently for sale in the States has either quickly sold on Monday, or has already been price-adjusted upward.
Bill Noon was spot on with his view. RM's formula of well selected lots + classiche approval + rising market + top location + well organised = staggering results Good buys - the 330GTMk1 (metallic black) and the 250LM brochure The Edsel Ford II consigned Daytona Spyder was Ok but not a condition 1 and it would have been good to see either a Lusso or Daytona coupe cross the block - purely for interest! I just hope the 206SP,340MM and 330TR1 have gone to new homes where they're going to get used and raced hard. The auctioneering duet of Max Girardo and Peter Bainbridge also worked really well Overall - a weekend with a factory tour of Ferrari, the RM auction and the '07 Mille Miglia at the Scaglietti factory had this car nut on near overload....... Well done RM
Agree, apart from Peter's tendency to say "1 million dollars" instead of "euros" only to have the audience chant "euros". Funny if you're a brit or an America, I sense less so if you're an Italian...
