I would love to, only i deleted them. basically i asked him about the targa roof for $6k and if whether or not he was joking about the price. he then sent a succession of 4 e-mails saying that he had the only spare top in the world and that this was it's value, he then had obviously looked at my buying history and took the p**s out of some of the lower value items that i had bought recently ( some being for the kids) he called me a cheap skate and inferred that i couldnt afford his goods ( he may be right!) and basically to butt out. I then e-mailed him back to let him know that i was an F-chatter and that it was strange that his english was far better now than only a couple of weeks ago before he was banned from the forum! Strangely i've heard no more!
I have a 246 Targa top for sale. I would like $2500 a 59% saving over his ONLY one in the world, besides mine. Look in your deleted email mailbox. Entertainment may still be hanging around. Your audience awaits.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220021227576 bidder: moving_faster(private) Not a registered user What's going on here? The plot thickens, noose tightens. Could andrewg be on to something? and I am wrong, again? Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Slightly off topic. Has anyone here approached Schedoni about making reproductions? After all, they made the originals, right? DM
Schedoni has lost the contract on the smaller items at the Factory Store, I notice the briefcases and small bags are no longer Schedoni.. Only the repro luggage sets.....for which they had the original patterns. Morning, all!
moving_faster was the bidder that got NARU'ed, but why wasn't the seller NARU'ed if this was truly and conclusively shill bidding? Perhaps it was just a case of incomplete registered identity such as a bad phone number. Remember that Ebay loves to tout the "total number of users" statistic and rarely polices their own members. The "Second Chance Offer" scam is so prolific that it should warrant some action, but Ebay doesn't seem motivated to clean up their sand box. I asked Schedoni twice if they could make luggage for the Dino; once by their website form and again by a direct email, but didn't hear anything.
ssems like we should be able to get nice reporductions made stateside, make sure we mark them as such and sell them for a reasonable amount of money. Gonna go talk to a couple of leather goods folks in the family, and see what they say. THey used to import lots of Italian leather, so maybe they still have some useful contacts. DM
Will you discount this amount on any item LSR is selling at this time??? I got a couple items I need that I'll take at that price. 59% off turns some of his prices into a good deal. DM
check the auction again, did anyone see this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220021227576 Seller: la_scuderia_rossa( 323) Not a registered user
Here is what the eBay "Not a registered user" link to LSR says: How do I leave feedback for a member who is now showing as "not a registered user"? The eBay feedback system does not allow you to leave feedback for someone who is not registered as an eBay member. This doesn't necessarily mean that you will never be able to leave feedback for the member and the associated item. If the member is reinstated, and the item is still on your My eBay feedback page, you will be able to leave your comment then. The item will remain in My eBay for 90 days. However, if the member's registration does not become active again, or if it becomes active after 90 days, you will not be able to leave feedback for this member. Note: "Not a registered user" can refer to members who have cancelled their membership, or whose membership has been suspended by eBay. For example, a member whose correct contact information is no longer on file with us may have their registration suspended until the new contact information is entered. In either case, the member appears as "not a registered user" and is not allowed to buy or sell on eBay. ------------------------------- I like the part about "if a member is reinstated" and "'Not a registered user' can refer to members who have cancelled their membership, OR WHOSE MEMBERSHIP HAS BEEN SUSPENDED BY EBAY . . . ." Now, my question is, why shouldn't you be allowed to leave feedback for someone who has either cancelled their membership or who has been suspended by eBay? Certainly you should be able to leave feedback for someone who comes back to eBay from the dead after 90 days -- otherwise, this would invite BIG TIME FRAUD, worse than it is already on eBay. Mark
What about that Brazilian guy selling pouches and tool kit covers any one bough from him? If his quality is ok, Brazil should produce leather goods reasonably enough.
My understanding is that his stuff is not bad, but isn't a CLOSE match either. I think wspeer has one, let's see where he weighs in on this. DM
