No choice? Didn't Frank Williams try to sign him? I'd say he had a choice. He choose NASCAR. Ralf is still a wanker.

Once again, this thread is not about Frank Williams, JPM or Montoya's career move to NASCRAP!

This thread is about Ralf. Ralf has choices and he will still be in F1 next year.

As will Coulthard, Liuzzi, Speed, Heidfeld, Massa, Webber, Klein, JV, Trulli, Fisichella, de la Rosa, Sato, and other "giants" of motorsports.

The talent pool in F1 declines dramatically once you get past the top 3. F1 is littered with pay drivers who have no business behind the wheel of a race car. There are plenty of routes to F1 that have nothing to do with talent. Simply being a driver in F1 doesn't necessarily mean the guy is one of the best in the world. If arse-hat...oops I mean imperial83...is to be believed, Christian Fittipaldi should have laid waste to NASCAR, seeing as how he is an F1 veteran. History shows differently.

But understanding this requires an intellect well beyond arse-hat's...oops, I mean imperial83...abilities

Nothing is set in stone, Ralf could very easily get dumped by season's end

and I guess you will be watching all of Ralf's races from your "luxury suite", right?

....You secretly yearn for Ralf, don't you?

Do you pop wood every time you see a Toyota dealership?

Hold it a minute! This is totally off-topic, disgusting and unnecessary in the racing threads or any threads. Same is true with threads 55, 58 and others.

Atleast we are discussing Ralf again. I believe he still has a contract with Toyota with an option to move. I think Toyota want him to stay and continue the fine the job him and Trulli have done.

NASCAR has a far bigger reach than DTM does, from a career standpoint it's a better choice. Whether you like it of not.

Ralf in Champ Car? It could be interesting, but he hates the series (read it in Alex Zanardi's book).

I don't think Ralf Schumacher would last very long in Nascar. He would probably get a pretty swift attitude adjustment.

Besides I don't think them good old boys accept pillow-biting foreigners so readily :D

NASCRAP ... driving around in circles cannot be considered better racing than DTM.

From a career stand point there is better chance to return to F1 from DTM than from NASCRAP!

Reach cannot measure level of racing. WWF/ WWE has greater reach than olympic wrestling. However, fake wrestling is not a great career move for a future olympic hopeful.

Ralf would do very well in DTM.

It's all a matter of tastes. Whether you consider DTM better than NASCAR is just your opinion. There are many that would disagree with you and say DTM or F1 is a great bore. Motorsport is motorsport no matter what the disciple. NASCAR is so huge in the states a driver could make serious cash just selling T-shirts. Not so in DTM.

So selling more T-shirts makes NASCRAP better than DTM?

The post you quoted makes it sound that way!!! DTM attracts larger numbers of spectators than Nascar. I'll take DTM any day over NASCRAP.

Read the post again, we're talking career wise. JPM could stand to make millions in NASCAR even if he never wins another race. How much money could Ralf make in DTM if he chose to go there? Whether or not you like DTM over NASCAR is bsisdes the point. Apple and Oranges.
