R6: Daytona Nov. 10-12, FCRA Gala

The New Orleans track is paved, but do to a record amount of rain this year, it will not be completed in time for the final FCRA round.

I was thus thrilled to receive a call from the head of HSR. HSR has agreed to host the final round of the FCRA championship at Daytona on Nov. 10-12. Due to our strict licensing criteria and safety record the HSR has agreed to honor FCRA licenses. We will have a test day on the 10, and then a race on Friday and a final race early saturday.

After the race Sat. afternoon, we will have an end of the year blowout and formal Awards ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria in Epcot. The dinner will be hosted by Jerome Bocuse. It will be an amazing Gala, with a formal dinner, a multi-media stage, and an after party lounge. We will crown the 355/360/430 and Team Champions and give out special awards to several drivers. The new Orleans crew and Jerome are behind the party planning. We are essentially bringing the French Quarter Classic style party to Orlando. The party will be extravagant and will be a fitting end to a spectacular first season. So, if you are a member of the FCRA or supporter, it's a party you are not going to want to miss.

Just to give everyone updates:

We have outstanding plans for the Gala on November 12 after Daytona at the Waldorf at Epoct. Jerome and his chefs are preparing the menu. We will have a multi media stage show and presentations. We have also decided that to be fitting for the occasion the Gala will be Black Tie for the men. Woman can be in cocktail. For those of you not familiar with carnival in New Orleans and the use of black tie parties, don't be afraid. Black tie does not mean stuffy. It means get ready it's going to be good.
