Motor Trend are conducting a test, and these might be the results at I think Willow Springs, and these might be the results. No idea if true or not, but got it from a forum, but he got it from FL. So Take it with a heaping of salt: senna 1:19.71 zr1 1:20.99 gt3rs 1:21.26 gt2rs 1:21.37 488 pista 1:22.01 [2019 Ferrari 488 Pista] Motor Trend 6/2018 test results (to be published on "Track Monsters" page in 7/2018 issue): 0-30 mph = 1.2 s 0-40 mph = 1.6 s 0-50 mph = 2.1 s 0-60 mph = 2.6 s 0-70 mph = 3.2 s 0-80 mph = 3.8 s 0-90 mph = 4.5 s 0-100 mph = 5.2 s 1/4-mile = 10.5 s / 148.0 mph Figure-8 = 22.2 s / 1.19 g Willow Springs = 82.01 s
I hope you're right. MT also got the following times 0-60MPH 2.5s for the 720s 2.6s for the Pista 0-100MPH 5.3s for the 720s 5.2s for the Pista
the online article wrote that the pista did 0-124 in 7.2. And those track times don't seem to make sense. A gt3rs is quicker than a gt2rs?
I very much doubt that this test even occurred, let alone the silly numbers. The reasons? 1) The LF has been clocked at 2.4s for the 0-60. Supposedly, the Pista did it in 2.6. All is well till now. The 0-100 for the LF was 4.7, whereas for the Pista 5.2. Which shows that the LF opens up a difference, at it is to be expected. The trap speed for the LF was 149 mph, while the alleged for the Pista is 148 mph. This would mean that the Pista would have to accelerate harder, once traction is not an issue. This is contradicted by the alleged 60-100 mph times though, which shows that the LF accelerates harder. This figures are just non-nonsensical. 2) I very much doubt that there is a press Pista in the US. The car has just been tested in Italy.
The quarter mile time is BS. This whole post is BS lol. Whoever originally came up just fabricated the whole thing.
The 488 one, yeah. It seems to be fake. Though, I do know they did conduct a test with the 2RS and the ZR1 at willow springs for a fact. They showed it on their instagram. Edit: tweet from automobile mag. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
LOL. Right, I'm sure McLaren just lent them a Senna the other day when the car isn't even totally done yet.
