Searched for this info but could not come up with any solid info. The tcu
in my 99 360 is a cfc201f.05 part #191701. My clutch engaged at a lower rpm
just off idle when i bought the car years ago, now i noticed that the
engagement occurs at a higher rpm, somewhere around 1500 to 2000.
I am assuming this is due to some clutch wear after about 5000 miles.
I would like to adjust the pis. Could anyone tell me if this could be done with
    the x431?

I have version X431 V10.85 and it cannot connect to this generation of TCU.
Don't know if it has been solved on later versions but I doubt about it.

    Thanks Eric
I know from reading the forum that you have a lot of experience with these tcus. Are there any affordable tools that can communicate/adjust
this version or can the software or hardware of the tcu be modified to allow x431 to work with it?

I don't know of an 'affordable' solution for setting PIS on an early model 360. Mine is a 2000, and could not be accessed with the x431. I upgraded to a CS TCU through Eric, and all was good!

I can set PIS on the CFC201 of my Maserati with the X431.

However, PIS does not vary with clutch wear.

What Kevin said ! Probably cheaper to reflash your TCU to CS spec or late 360 spec, which can be configured with X431, rather than to get a diag tool which can communicate with this generation of TCU.
I don't know all the diag tools but the cheapest I can think of to communicate with these TCUs are Texa and Autoenginuity. They sell both for $3500 to $4000.

It's not a matter of TCU H/W (CFC201) but a matter of software.
Late 360 TCU and early CS TCU, both using CFC201, can be configured with X431.
