Passenger door mirror "floppy" on 79GTS

    I don't know how else to describe it. It is not well attached. The two screws don't seem to do much. I can't tighten them- them might be stripped out. Is there any kit or something? I don't see any visible damage to to mirror. Thanks for any advice.

    Is it possible to post a few pics as I am unsure which style mirror you have or the specific attachment mechanism for the mirror on a '79 308?

    On the 328 there are fittings that secure the mirror to the body but there is also an allen bolt hidden behind a plastic cover that can be tightened to prevent the mirror from flopping around.
