Since it was a postwar Bugatti (not to be confused with the present day Bugattis) I was wondering if it is considered of lesser worth than the prewar Bugattis made when Bugatti was in its heyday. I speak of T101C #101506 wearing a body designed by Virgil Exner sr. and Jr.

Only six chassis/engine combinations were built and this was reported to be the very last chassis, #101506, traded in 1961 as payment for their design work on the Duesenberg Revival cars (which became the Stutz Blackhawk). I believe the debt was only a few thousand.

I think it was shown by Gen. Lyon, I don't know if an acquisition price was mentioned (if it was sold at public auction). I was wondering where the car went from there.

I don't think it could be rebodied as a prewar design because it was a postwar built chassis.
