Scott, do you have a cooling system in your home? I would love to have radiant heat for all of the reasons that you have mentioned, but here in Missouri I would still need a cooling system. Unfortunately, that would require duct work and eliminate some of the benefits of radiant heat.
Nonsense! It looks great. It'll be a very beautiful home. I'd love to see pics when it's all finished
Vlad, most informative details about house construction techniques. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Good luck with your project!
Have you looked into a high velocity system? My house is going to be radiant heat also, but it will still need a "backup" to take to chill out of the air and also suppliment areas that do not have enough coverage.
I have not, but will do so now. I don't want to derail this thread, but which system did you choose? Thanks for the idea!
Here are the shingles going on. Should be finished with the roof by the end of the week, if the weather holds out Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
don't be. It looks like it's going to be very nice. I feel like the only person on this forum who lives in a dump.
dkny.. nice progress. pretty interesting how the guys are using ladders as scaffolding. Quick question... when plans were drawn, did you consider to move the tower more to the outside so it would not be flush with the left side wall? if you don't know what i mean, try to increase the diameter of the tower and it'll pop out from the wall.
Vlad, Do all of the panel connections have to have some type of decoration to cover the seams? If not, any pics of a standing seam in block like pattern that's in the panels? Oh, and thank you very much for the PM. DKNY, take it from a builder, those framers were cursing you and your builder as they were framing that 16/12 roof. Absolutely beautiful...
What is the name of the company who manufactured those walls for you? Very interesting design, I was friends with a guy who's dad built those styrofoam block homes where concrete was poured over and into the styrofoam blocks. I like this type of construction much better. Thanks, Brian
isellpower: all the panel connections have to have joints covered by those panels. I don't have any phoos of them without panels. The maximum length of each panel is 28 feet by the way.
