    As some of you know, I'm producing a new Awards Show for Spike TV in January called AutoRox. AutoRox was concieved by my business partner and I about 3 years ago when we first started working on TNN and evolving it into Spike TV. Simply put, AutoRox is the first televised Awards Show for cars voted on by the public. It's a 90-minute show airing on Tuesday, January 25th on Spike TV. It's going to be a fun and playful look at cars -- and not a hardcore car comparison or shoot out. I'm not Car & Driver Magazine, I'm a television network that runs Baywatch, WWE, and Star Trek, so it's not gonna be a geeky shade-tree-mechanic-esque show. It's gonna be fun.

    There's a ton of stuff that I do not know about the show, yet:

    - Who is hosting (We're working on 4 "main" hosts similar to the VMAs)

    - Who is playing (We're working on 2 big acts: 1 Rock and 1 Hip Hop)

    - What the award categories are (Got a bunch of stuff going through a committee of auto professionals ranging from J Mays, Bob Lutz, some guy at Ferrari, etc. to folks like Steve Saleen, Carroll Shelby, Rod Millen, etc. to tuner/customizer folks like Will Castro, Ryan Li, Bob Mull, etc. -- you get the idea.)

    There's one thing I do know:

    - I need to fill my theatre and I'm dolling out tickets and AAPs (All Access Passes) to the EC Playaz first.

    We are taping on Saturday, January 22nd in Santa Monica, CA. There'll be an open dress rehearsal on Friday, the 21st. Preshow "red driveway" and post show party the night of the show and a wrap party on Sunday for production folks.

    The post party is tentatively sponsored by -- just come, it'll be worth it for that alone.

    I have limited seating. I have limited floor standing room. So I need to know soon who wants to come out to the show and how many tickets/AAPs you'll need.

    No, I cannot fly you out. No, I cannot foot the bill for your hotel. But I can get you free tix to a fun event and you can party without having to drop $1,000 on booze. At least for 1 night.

    Attached are some pre-production sketches and other "BTS" renderings.

    Oh, and I'd like to weasel a few of you to come out a bit early and do some WORK on the show (while I'm at the beach, of course) but I'm having difficulty with my insurance company and the Santa Monica fire marshall. More on that as it evolves...

    just dont have tyrese host the show have some one that knows and has the passion for these cars not some slut celebrity that got banged in a lambo!

    I love that new jingle that girl sings on Spike. I watch wrestling with my son and when that jingle comes on, and she mentions Triple H, he cracks up! Love the station. I think its a great idea, and will be very successful. I'm telling all the guys I know to watch.

    Spike TV? Is that on cable? I'm gonna try turning my antenna tonight to see if I can get it...

    Seriously, This sounds really cool and I would love to go to this... but I can't (so you can breathe a sigh of relief, Emil). I hope you have a great turnout and great success with this.

    Flex and I will be shipping some cars from NYC and back for the show. Fishbulb will be there in full effect. If we gots space on the truck, EC playaz will know first! Darth's 550 will be there -- I hope -- so it;d be good to have a few of them around...

    Unfortunatly, the wife is due to give birth on the 26th.


    Hmmmmm, maybe she can hold out for another day or two....;-)
