I've enjoyed looking at all of the clean new FFs on the forum. Noblesse suggested we get a thread going where we can see some photos of cars getting used!

Snow, rain, flood, mud, packed for a trip, covered in bugs let's see them!

Here is what I came to today when taking my son to his KiTa.

This is too easy. I'll start with this little teaser. After one trip, the car was sitting outside the shop, waiting to get the heavy dirt hosed off before it could be washed, and a rain burst came through and gave it a light rinse, resulting in the little piles of dirt at the rear fenders.

A couple days ago. I noticed that the snow collected between the front tire and the wheel well. It was -5C out and the pack between the wheel was a solid chunk of ice. Strangely the rear tires were at 4 C but the fronts were at 21C. It seemed the ice was crammed in so tight it was heating up the tire yet so cold outside it was instantly re-freezing the ice.....

Titianio looks great against snow though I think the camera went too much on the blue side.

Does the FF have a heated steering wheel as an option?

I love these pictures, please keep them coming.

Last I checked, heated steering wheel is not an option. Sounds like a dumb option, until you've had a car with it in really cold weather. Then its kinda nice once in a while.

Here area couple from our last trip through Jackson Hole. We went looking for elk and buffalo one early morning and encountered a few dirt/mud roads.

Our friends at FNA have seen it, and laughed. That was how the car looked pretty much when we drove it into the shop in Seattle a few days later and they took the pics of the dirt puddles after the brief rain shower.

Now one of my favorites is still this one. We had driven through this massive rain cell in Pennsylvania, complete with steady thunder and lightning. One bolt of lightning seemed to have struck right in front of us and I could have sworn I saw a branch fall in front of us: but all I could really see was just rivers of water flowing across the road. We were only going about 25mph on a 55mph state highway at the time, it was raining so hard the wipers on full blast couldn't keep up. The storm lasted about 10 minutes as they're want to do, and we drove till dark that night and checked into a hotel. Next day came out to the car and walked around front to find this. Poked through the wire mesh behind the grill and stopped just a fraction of an inch before puncturing the radiator. We must have driven another 150 miles with this sticking out the front of the car before I discovered it.

Fantastic photos and story to go with them. Thanks for sharing.

You're right about the heated steering wheel. Its now a must have for my daily car.

The branch reminds me of hitting a 3-foot tumbleweed in 50 mph winds in southeastern Colorado last spring. There are times when you are glad to have paint protection film.

May I crash the thread with a pic of my F12 I drove in the snow this morning? The sleet took much of the dirt off though, promise to post a dirtier picture next time!
