wow, that GTC4 looks absolutely stunning in that color. cant wait to see it come spring.
with snow coming on Monday, I predict most all on this board have put away their toys for the season. Mine goes into hibernation on Monday. But, as it will be sunny tomorrow, if others plan to show at Starbucks, I'll make the trek. I'll check the board later to check interest.
Sorry I can't be there today, gang. I'm doing family stuff today, namely clearing a spot for the Xmas tree and getting it! The 308 is on the lift with the brakes not quite done. I'm hoping the weather will hold off long enough to get the brakes together and test drive before spring!! I drove the Mondial all over the universe yesterday doing errands, so at least I got some seat time. Sam, beautiful GTC4! Can't wait to see it in person. Scott, you telling me you could con Sam into letting you drive it? You're slipping, dude. Birdman
Hey - I did the tree and showed up! Even had time to walk to Dunkin Donuts to get my son some cocoa and me some real New England coffee... Next year - its gotta be North Shore Bi-Weekly meet at Dunkin Donuts!!! Merry Christmas - see you in the Cayenne when it snows! Image Unavailable, Please Login
LOL - We'll have to move to Commodore Plaza or the Stop&Shop parking lot. I just need caffeine and not particular who supplies it.
Family matters got in the way, yesterday. I am sorry to have missed the meet. I took pictures of the 360 in the snow, this morning. Although I had planned to put the car away for the season, today, the weather predictions make for a nice week. I may keep the car out a bit longer. As Sunday approaches, I'll check who may be interested in getting some coffee.
Weatherwise this weekend has some promise. Was out this afternoon for a nice run. Being retired let's you get away with driving on a nice day any time there is a nice day
It looks like our gathering has competition in the form of Ispeed's Sunday Drive to RI (http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131612) Who among the Northerners will plan to head south...?
Ran all over the North Shore today doing "errands" with the wife in our daily driver. Solid coat of salt right up to the door handles. That's it for me until we get 2-3 inches of rain.
I may meet some of you at Starbucks someday...I am a coffee junkie myself. Anyway, I know there might be salt down on some roads but I am planning to wash and rinse after driving Sunday. I hope some more are interested in the RI drive, and it will be fun to cross-pollinate some P cars with some F cars too.
Are you kidding me? I was going to test drive the new brakes this week. They salted for that pathetic dusting of snow? Birdman
the OAT inthe car was showing 18-23 degrees all day and the snow lasted until mid afternoon here- I'm guessing they just kept thowing salt on it to prevent black ice
I plan on arriving at Starbucks around 10 Am today. Not planning to be there long, but just to take the car out for a short drive and to say hello to anyone who shows up. Anyone else?
When you get paid for being out "making the roads safe", you will dump 1/4" of salt for 3 or 4 flakes I was heading to work last Monday and the trucks were in formation on the highway dropping grit and salt everywhere - amazing!
I am planning to wash and rinse after driving Sunday. Ispeed - has nothing to do with washing and rinsing - Ferrari did not rust proof cars until '84' and mine's a '76' without a speck of rust.
Had a nice drive today between from 1-2PM, Only looked down the barrel of a radar gun once on 128 heading to Gloucester - 70 in a 55mph zone . Never blinked - him or I - I was keeping up with traffic. Only reason I slowed to that speed was that I was getting off at the next exit. Usually I can speed at will on this end of 128. Just lucked out. Any one planning to be at Starbucks this weekend? Supposed to be a nice day.
Not sure I can get out tomorrow, but I'm going to try. Just have to throw some wheels on it tonight!! Birdman
