    The person from Croatia gave me a twelve digits phone number. Calling from the US, do I dial the 011 then the twelve digits numbered he gave me?

    If the first three digits are 385 then that's the country code so you'd dial 011 385 12 345 6789

    The same basic principal applies to any overseas call from US ie 011 then country code (without a zero or + in front) then number (usually without a zero in front)
