They pretty much have the monopoly on motorsports publications now. That's a lot of power

This is like Coca-Cola acquiring Pepsi. Just hope all this power is use towards the best of the users. I can only see good things happening from this as I see a lot of good features in Motorsport.com that can be transferred to Autosport.

I will certainly keep an eye for updates on both websites.

Is Motorsport magazine still part of Haymarket?

    I don't think so.

Thankfully I don't see Classic & Sports Car's logo on the press release, so maybe it's staying with Haymarket. As a reader of 30 years I wouldn't appreciate any major changes there.

It was just confirmed to me that C&SC stays with Haymarket.

I do have concerns about what could happen with LAT. It is a treasure and I'm a little surprised it's being sold.

Anything can be monetized today. Even history. We can only hope for responsible stewardship, especially of L.A.T.

Bad news as far as I am concerned.

Concentrating more power in fewer hands has always been a bad recipe.

I see this as a huge negative. Motorsport<dot>com don't pay photographers for one thing which will mean more professionals hanging up their gear while amateurs who will work for credentials while paying their own way will be supplying the coverage.
