How about the two Enzos that ran through RM Sat evening? Anyone know if they sold and for what $?

 

I was there for one of them. The yellow one was a no sale at $1 mm.

 

so much for me paying attention. i stand corrected. results i found were 08, sorry

 

Interesting to compare though.

 

I seem to recall that the black Enzo no sale'd for much less. $800K perhaps? In fact RM quickly ran through a list of 4 or so Ferraris at the end of the sale all of which did not sell. Then they sold an Isetta for $42K hammer to break the streak.

All in all, though, I was surprised to see certain models establish strong results at the auction. I thought Mercedes sales were strong, and a BMW 507 is now a $900,000 car.

Plenty of cars sold for way-too-much money (IMHO) in the $75K-$200K range.

 

166MM Dino Ferrari prototype was bid up to 1.1 mil no sale at RM
while a SWB California Spyder sold for 4.6 mil (or was it 4.8 mil) at
Gooding. I just don't get the facination with California Spyders, just
a street car...must be the Ferris Bueler connection. Gooding did MUCH
better that RM......Here is a pic of the 166mm which is drop dead gorgeous
and the first small grill Ferrari:

Yes, the 507 a "German Cobra" is now a 900K car and the new Bentley chassis #1 sold
for 500k....Gooding did very well.

 

Bidding stopped at $2.5MM on this one Saturday at Gooding. About 20% of the crowd left immediately and I believe it was only eighth in line......

I would also like to find the results of the RM auction. There were a lot cars that should really be helpful in understanding where the market is going.

 

Does anyone know what the bids on the two Daytona's at RM were? The Jerry West car was very nice. The Daytona at Mecum did 266K and was a no sale.

Makes me sad we tore them all up, back when we drove them NEW!

The Bugatti and Ferrari Blue Chippers seem like they are still reaping the value too, down from superheated pricing certainly but still some nice coin.....
