    Dear Fellow Mondial Cabriolet Owners,
I’m creating a new thread to keep everything clear.....

So, many of us know that the Latch Toggles and Sliders were prone to failure as they were not made to be robust enough from the factory.

And many of you know that I have provided replacement Latch Toggles for the past few years that easily replace OEM toggles that will not break.

Now, I am providing a robust solution for the other weak link in the Latch Assembly which is the slider.

Like the toggles, the OEM sliders fail as they were made of a low strength material and manufactured using a process that was not appropriate for the needs of the parts.

The goal was to reproduce these parts as cost effectively as possible while improving on the original design, making them much stronger.

If you already have my Latch toggles, you would only need a pair of Sliders as the toggles were made to easily assemble to the toggles.

If you haven't purchased a pair of my toggles, then you would need the entire kit: Two Toggles and Two Sliders.

The cost for a pair of Toggles remains at $200.00 plus shipping cost

The cost for a pair of Sliders is $240.00 plus shipping cost.

The cost for a complete kit is $440.00 plus shipping cost.

Typical shipping cost within the USA is $4.00.

I have parts available to ship now and I’m confident that these parts are far better than the OEM parts and will not fail.

As a point of comparison, alternatively, you could find a new old stock OEM Handle Assembly which will set you back approximately $550.00 for only one and it will most certainly break again.

I’m offering a solution that will make BOTH of your Handel Assemblies failure free for less than the cost of ONE New Old Stock replacement.

Please PM me if you are interested.

    Thanks

    Hi Ron,

I just PayPal’d you funds for a set of your sliders.

    Thank you for making them.

Now if I can find someone who will make replacement lenses for the emergency/trouble light.

Received and installed my new toggles and sliders over the weekend. Went together with a little "adjusting" of the pot metal bracket on the overhead handle - but that is to be expected. Overall took a few minutes and any issues / delays were self-inflicted (aka backwards install)

Ron - worked great, solid design, easy pictures for install and robust fabrication. Well done.

Sorry for the delay. I will take a set of the sliders as I already bought your toggles. I'll need to find the toggles in my Mondial "to do" box to confirm I still have them (i.e. not lost in the house move).

    Sending PM and email both.
