Don't know, but the early Mondials sure look great in black.

Well, it's obviously ahead of it's time if it's built in 1928 - 50 years before any other Mondial 8!!!!!

Obviously, you've never seen "Back to the Future"!

Why does the speedometer only go up to 80mph?

Man did the performance take a hit on the update. From 270 hp to 205. 0-60 in 9.4 vs. the previously claimed 6.3 seconds. Sounds like he doesn't know what he is selling.

Federal law back then. Stupid rule dictated no speedometer could indicate over 80.

I emailed the guy as it looked like a good deal with 15k miles. He took the description from a Ferrari web site; obviously a T. That's a red flag that no one even knows what the car is.

No maintaince has been done on it in years outside of an oil change and spark plugs, so figure the whole shooting match there. He said he's asking $19k...I'd offer $15k if I was in the market.

...Except that the dash is not a "T" dash.

    Weird.

I recall seeing this car being for sale at least a year ago by the same owner. I remember because it's not too far away from me and I've passivley been looking for a blk Mondial.

Needs some TLC, but overall seems liek a reasonalbe $...

We have a "t" coupe and this isn't one!! They only came to the US in 1989 and there were only 42 of them. The "t" is easily recognized with it's door handles being the same color as the body. The specs listed for the "car of whatever flavor year" don't match up with the Ferrari Mondial Variants. Displacement shows 2926 = Mondial 8 shows 2129; 205 bhp is okay for the "8"; 0-60 in 9.4 seconds??? must be a typo - the "8" shows at 7 secs and 0-100 in 28.1 secs? (my Chevy Dura Max would win that competition hands down - same with the 0-60 run) - 0-100 shows for the "8" to be 21 secs.

Ken - the description is not remotely close to that of the "t" according to the information I have here.

Meister - I concur with you about needing some tlc - the interior looks really thirsty for a big drink of leather conditioner.

If I were interested in this car, my first questions would be: could I please see the service records/all documents relative to the car and do you have the manuals? Looks like a nice car but, I really like the color of the "Super Mondial"!!! (but then again I also have a '04 Citron Green MB C320C so I have a preference for the "unusual" colors).

Just my thoughts for what that's worth.

I have to correct myself.. the car I was thinking of (the one long been for sale) had red interior, not black.

If you DIY (service, etc) it seems like a reasonable candidate if the price is around 18.5K- 20K.
