Exactly my thought. According to F1 surveys, people are most looking forward to that GP. But I think many of them will e disappointed - I anticipate Zandvoort being the most boring race (besides Monaco, of course) of the year, unless anything unforeseen (weather conditions) happens.
Revisions look beautiful... I'm still surprised these banked corners were "allowed" to happen given the silly postive camber limits traditionally imposed on new FIA grade 1 circuits. Anyway, I'd take a procession at a great track over DRS fest on an overly-wide Tilke playmat circuit any day of the week. Fix the cars, not the tracks!
Any collision between cars or car to wall on most of this very narrow track and wall to wall width will result in an actual red flag as the car and its shrapnel will inevitably bounce back on track. It makes Suzuka look like Paul Ricard in terms of width between walls. Hopefully there will be some great duels AND passes, some smart drivers will figure out clever two stage passes: position on the outside, crowd the other driver until the next turn in the other direction etc...
From the Verstappen footage, the track looks narrower than I remember it when I drove there. I don't think overtaking will be easy for F1 cars.
