Didn't see that when reading. I've seen a couple of Spykers. Don't love the overall look, but the craftsmanship of the interior is slick.
Yeah, I wasn't sure how I liked the looks of the Spyker until I saw one in person. I think it is an amazing looking car. There are so many nifty little details throughout the entire car. Very cool IMO.
Fell in love with them a few years ago @ French Lick/West Baden when they had 4 cars there at the car show. Haven't seen an Aileron yet, though but looks amazing in pictures
Yawn! heard it before and anyone who laughs at your repeat jokes must know what the back of your sack looks like. lol!
Saw one in LV last weekend, very cool! But I think for the money there are other cars I would buy first. Matt
Very cool. I have to be south of Ft Wayne Indiana by 1pm so I can only stop in for a bit. See y'all there!
NO PHOTOS???? My ignition coil went out on my way to C&C yesterday so I missed the Spyker. Did anyone get a picture? Good news was I was able to get my car to the shop right away, bad news the car rental place just down the road from the shop only had a big Chevy Silverado left to rent. So I was big pimpin' Indiana style. I had that pick up truck moving though - 140 miles in under 2 hours! SuperJ owns the left lane - move to the right please.....
I'll post a picture this afternoon. It was a good turnout, along with the Spyker, the following cars were there: 2 Ferrari 308s Ferrari 599 GTB Lamborghini Espada Noble M12 gto 3r Porsche 911 GT3 Several other model Porsche 911s Porsche Cayman Porsche Panamera Several Corvettes (new and old) A handful of Alfa Romeos An old Sprite with a Corvette Engine A classic Jag and quite a few more BMWs and other cars.
I saw a picture of that spyker. Not a fan of the way it looks. Nothing consistent with it from an outside appearance. Interior looks like a 50's hamburger joint and the exterior looks like a catfish out of water.
Here is the Spyker. A few more of my pics are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/slapshots/sets/72157624035536970/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
So what have you got against hamburger joints and catfish? However I agree I couldn't decide if the styling was coming or going. It is different and it gets points for that. When I did stop by to look at it I over heard the owner say it was built in the Netherlands by the fella that recently bought Saab. He was 1/2 right - Spyker has acquired Saab but it is not affiliated w/ the original Spyker Automotive Company (spijker company) from 1880's - 1920's that the "name" is borrowed from. doh http://inform.com/world/spyker-producing-1000-saabs-week-913097a
Nothing except they shouldn't have wheels on them but if you must put wheels on them, then you would call it a spyker. The ugliness of it is explained since saab made them. Doesn't matter what angle pars takes the picture, it's still a catfish out of water. When looking at the car it appears it took many designs: Front looks like something from a Jag. Doors don't really open up like a Lambo but more of a Ricer lambo door. Ass end looks like the go cart called a lotus elise It's the platypus of cars. Okay I am being mean. So I will stop.
I think by far the coolest car is the old Bugatti. Now that is cool besides the snap into it slim jim Viper!
