Hi, I have a 550 Maranello and it's in need of new cambelts. I don't trust/want to use the Ferrari dealer in Bordeaux or Toulouse, and some years ago Mondial owner Journiacois mentioned he knew of a local garage near him (near Saint-Cyprien) whose owner had three Ferrari's himself, so probably knows a thing or two about them. Does anyone know who this is and how do I contact him? Any suggestions gratefully received. I'm near Terrasson, between Brive-la-Gaillarde and Périgueux.

Were you thinking of Claude Feniou? Yes, he officially retired a couple of years ago. Super bloke. Or was there someone else?

This is the reply I got, you need a translation or your French is good enough ?? Are you the English guy living at Thenon ?

Yes, I guess so. We've used the talents of Claude Feniou at Terrasson for years, but he retired a couple of years ago and since then only used him for relatively simple jobs. I was hoping to identify someone in a succession plan that I could use for bigger jobs long-term. However, it seems that your friend's most informative reply suggests I should gently ask Claude if he'd be prepared to do the belts and other work on the 550, as all the others are 45 minutes + away. I'll drop Claude an email.

    Hi Russell,
I hope you get what you need and the 550 is fine.
Are you often in the area? I am sometimes at Hautefort, a beautiful castle and village.

    best
    Pierre
