Not to threadjack the OP, but I'm looking for a Corniche as well. I happen to be looking for a black one. I've found several white examples in good condition for a decent price, but not too many black ones. My ideal car is black over cream. I actually test drove a Corniche II yesterday, which is the black/black over white color combo I've been looking for, but it is a very needy car. Trying to decide if the the work involved to get it up to snuff is worth the effort. I see so few in this color combo that it is tempting. But it has many mechanical, interior and electrical issues to deal with. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Did you see this one? http://www.heritageclassics.com/inventory/detail/1392-bentley-continental-convertible.html Feel free to call me if you want to see another color in person or drive it. When I bought mine, I also wanted black but ended up with grey after seeing this one. Jeremy 818-645-5459
I have never understood how the RR/ B from this generation haven't increased in value like the 280 SE 3.5 convertibles...I prefer the RR. Gorgeous car. Good luck in your search.
@09Scuderia. I own both and in my opinion, the RR is a superior car (at least the late 80's/90's versions), much more elegant and luxurious, and rarer to boot. Even though they look like a 60/70's ear car, they are not. The 80/90's car will have their day...eventually

Had a '79 RR 4 door and also a 3.5 coupe. The RR is beautiful but can be a money pit as reflected by what they go for. Great deals if you get a good one.
I may go see both of these tomorrow. I have an appointment to see an '88 and a '77 tomorrow as well. Both are triple black cars.
I had a black Silver Spur II for several years and LOVED it! I'll keep my eyes out for a Corniche. They are rare birds nowadays.
White is the only color that is easy to find. Look on Autotrader and eBay - there are several. I would suggest 1987 (20,000 vin and up) or newer.
Here's one in Emeryville, CA. Bruce generally has very good cars, as his inventory illustrates: 1982 Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible
