Hot, very very loud and very very dusty! Pity those staying track-side as the facilities are crap!

If you dont stay trackside, you miss out on the atmosphere, I wouldnt do it any other way.

Facilities are not as bad as they used to be - but they are still crap

1000 euro fine and possible confiscation of car....er no I'll leave mine at home! I also think that cr*p is lenient when it comes to describing the facilities track-side!

sorry rick ... pasted the above from the "empty seat" thread.

At this moment in time, i am on the 7am boat tomorrow (wed.) ... marky & simon are leaving too early for me (mid morning) so i think i may just have a lonely saunter down the A1, after lunch .... i will prob. call on family in peterborough.
J's sister is cookin' dinner for me on wed. evening, so i shall prob. stay there o/night.
i will see you either around midnight at the hotel, or for breakfast, early thurs. morning.
    Of course things may change.
    cheers, d
ps .... how many are now staying at the hotel in whitfield nr. dover ? .... they need to be 'phoned to cancel any rooms we don't need

cant wait for the drive down tmrw and some well earned beers when we get there - hard work all that driving , 6hrs solid driving , London to Le Mans.

Hoping for no speeding fines, but not sure i will be able to resist the heavy foot on the odd occasion.
