The car was visible at Interclassics Brussels last November, for the same 79.000 euros. Nice condition but not exceptional. I had been interested in this car in 2013 when I was searching for a 400/412. It was for sale for around 35.000 euros in Belgium in October 2013 and I made then some quick researches on the internet. From my recollection, Hussein's alleged ownership was based on the testimony of a previous owner, in Germany.

There were some docments (copies of copies of copies) on which the name of "Hussain" was written... May have been Hussain Bolt too :)

And a very attractive car it is too !

Great colour - I know that those wheels and the TRX tyres are a PITA but they give the car such a nice stance.

Looks very nice although I am not a big fan of the chocolate brown dash leather. The fact that is comes with "full history" could be interesting depending on the meaning of the word "full" and whether the car has been maintained continuously and properly up to the present day.

After my experience some months ago with this car, I'd run away from this car

Hmmmm, does that suggest that ”full history" means one oil change 20 years ago? ;)

Fetched €72,527 at the Coys auction on Saturday.
    Strong price.
The LHD 412 auto at Coys auction in the UK also did well, sold for £45,000 (presumably hammer price).

I guess at least two people didn't run away. Strong price.

Unbelievable, some people just don't think before they buy :)

Consider, for a moment, the possibility that Quentin Wilson was actually right and the value of our cars is on the up.

Are the prices of jacks and tools driving the whole market ? LOL

Both sold well then at £55k and £45k, both (presumably) plus auction fees. I'm taking that as good news and makes my impending respray slightly less foolhardy.

    Good point.

So the best sales strategy would be to advertise the tool kit for £40,000.00 and include the rest of the car FOC ?

Certainly that would work in the states. At the prices they want for used parts all our cars are breakers. ( £45k for a Daytona NOS front wing !!)
