    A nearby prominent body shop said they would use infrared lights instead of steam or a hot gun to remove paint protection film (PPF). Has anybody heard of using infrared lights to remove PPF and is it better than steam?

    IR lamps are used by a lot of guys. Steam, IR, heat guns...all different options with same end results. No matter which way you go there’s always that chance to pull paint but if you are careful it can lessen the chance a bit.
