Hello. My question may as well be: Would you buy it back, and what's the fair value?

Owned and driven for about one year before crash
Suspension confirmed ok, wheel was cracked by lane divider
Fender and bumper crunched by guard rail. No actual frame damage, all cosmetic.
    50k miles
Rebuilt title now for obvious reasons
Decent paint but car is a driver
    It's a 95 with 50k miles so.. needs service
Desirable OBD1 (runs good but rich, needs full service)

GTB 6-speed gated. Nero. All black interior.
Tubi and otherwise stock. Sweet Alpine stereo

A good plan would be to do timing belts and have heads rebuilt, plus other worn bits. But overall it's nice. The front will obviously need professional help.

    (I bought it back)

Driving at 11PM in the dark, crashed in the rain from hydroplaning on an uneven road. Car still drove with steering and brakes all intact, air bags didn't pop, no injuries other than to ego.

Yes I could see it not handling so good at high speed after that.
You will be good in a few months

Cosmetic damage, yes, but that's a lot of panels to repair or replace and repaint, including the bonnet.

How long would you intend keeping it? When you repaint a panel, is black a paint colour which will show less or more mismatch than other Ferrari colours after a few years? I've had several panels repainted on my daily drivers. The colours looked completely different to the original colours after (in some cases) only 3 or 4 years. The sun seems to fade the colours at different rates. Looking at your pics, however, it looks like you live in a cooler part of the USA.

No frame damage? It's unibody. Looks like a lot of structural damage to me. More than cosmetic. Probably at least there components need replacing. A lot of work to do right IF you can get the parts.

For me that would signal it's time to move on.

Definitively unfortunate. Insurance wont resolve the issues as a result of the incident?

    It's a '95. Save it!

You're now an honorary member of The Challenge Club. :)

Look what happened to these cars when they raced...

Let a good Factory-authorized coachwork shop fix it. My car was on its roof once at Lime Rock Park. It's probably straighter today than when it left the Factory.

    Fix it.
the front end parts are mostly bolt on anyway. I will be much more hesitant if one of the rear quarters or roof got damaged.
I'm actually kind of surprised that insurance total it out.

Pull off the quarter panel and see if the damage goes deeper than the external sheetmetal? I assume it does if the insurance wrote it off? Seems unlikely from the pictures but only you would know. "seems" fixable?

Honestly, I don't know what you guys are looking at but there is obvious damage to the front tub. Probably more than the parts I indicated in post 8. Fixable? Yes. Cost?

Hard to imaging insurance considers it a total loss for a bad fender, wheel, hood and bumper.

The weak spot on these cars are the tunnels
When it gets hit in the front corners it twists the tunnel right below the dash where the accelerator pedal is
Don’t ask how I know I’ve had three with the same damage

I'd keep it a while to enjoy. Decide a few years down the road if I want to sell.

I agree with you that a full repaint should be considered.

It is a unibody, but the bent pieces are not load bearing. I believe the car has a strong internal frame that is not bent, or can be straightened if it is. The twisted pieces are thin and spot welded in place. I've studied that Ferrari page a lot. I have secured all of the needed parts, mostly from Scuderia Car Parts. I actually now have the last original front end body pieces available for the F348 and F355. They are all now NLA.

Insurance paid retail value. They didn't even want to bother evaluating the repair cost of the car.

Have you watched some of the Ferrari and Lamborghini that go through Copart? They get salvaged with ridiculously light damage sometimes. Owners fight for diminished value on top of repair costs so that often drives the insurance company to just write them off other than drag it out with owners.
