Ford Focus RS!

I only saw a very limited option list. Basically just annelectronic equipment upgrade (nav, stereo, etc.) and then I think some physical mods.

I know the option link is out there but I had difficulty finding it just for basic knowledge, no biggy.

 

If you configure a car on Ford's site you get a good feel for the options, texasmr2. It's not the easiest way to get to such info, but it can be done in 10-15mins.

I chose base everything (DD duty) except the paint (that is a beautiful blue imo) but that could change by the time I can afford one. $634/month for 60 months...oh hell no!
I will wait a year or two, let the initial production issues (if any) get attention and resolved and then see what the market has to offer on low mileage Certified RS's.

 

Don't forget the dealer's vig for the first MY or two.

 

Ford Fiesta RS ?not in the plan?

 

The Focus RS was designed from the beginning to be AWD, thank you Ford, but making the Fiesta worthy of the RS name would mean crap without AWD which would require a totally new platform. I love the idea but doubt (not saying never) it will happen.

 

But this is the first AWD RS . . . how can a FWD Fiesta RS not be acceptable?

The build quality is reported to be above par for its segment and is a great option me thinks.

 

Good video comparison. Audi has to change their architecture with the engine ahead of front axle. Can't claim ultimate performance with that handicap.

That would be nice but the Evo, from what I have read, is dead for the time being. I drove (BTSOO) a VIII version in '11 and was not impressed with the overall build quality, it was like driving a tin can compared to any of my four MR2's.

I would like to think that Ford is getting all the RS's initial production issues taken care of before it is released. I am already thinking about turbo and exhaust upgrades, high flow fuel pump & regulator, ems etc etc etc.
