This is a great thread that really stimulates the imagination - it has made me want to pack up a bag and head to Saudi Arabia in search of some sweet old exotic cars in need of TLC that I can buy for a song. What a shame to see the F40 or those Espadas in that condition, but I'm thinking where there are those, there are others...
just the reverse. The odo had 88...the trip (the one we can reset after a tank of gas) was 0. This is before the dealer even touched the car.
Reading the F40 thread in Portugal, was thinking about this one.. Anyone know how this F40 story ended up? Is it still in this garage? Thanks!
I am just to page one so far but before I read any further I suspect this is a scam. If I am wrong I will edit this post. radar is on.
sadly, i suspect that poor F40 is likely still sitting in that garage, in same or worse condition ....the difference in odo and trip mileages is suspect ...and the car is not merely "dusty", i saw stained fabrics, CF stratches, stripped screw holes, and some pretty serious neglect ...poor F40!
I was onboard with this thread being genuine, but he trip odo anomaly and the dust along the seat rails are red flags. An entertaining thread nonetheless.
For the record after 13 years , the car was sold and restored https://www.instagram.com/p/ts1uNFxVed/?igshid=mn3o7eherv6j
Wonderful story, I just read it in full. I have been surprised by the comments of people discrediting this person, then it was discovered that he was telling the truth and many disappeared ... It seems that there is a lot of know-it-all in this chat and at the moment of truth they don't know anything.
