We made need an update to the owner's list... According to two posts regarding the BBLMs that turned out for the FCA Annual Meet, Fuchs now owns two. Anyone who can update the list? Thanks, CW
Hi Guys, I thought everyone knew which two cars were Jim's. Sorry about that. His first BB/LM is 29509 and his new one is 38179. 35527 was there and I brought 26681. Hope that helps. Cheers, Bill
One of them and Jim F in the pic. What a great and enthusiastic guy ! Fast as hell too !!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I bought #38179 Prancing Horse Farm ex-Lemans and its sister Daytona car in 1985--sold the fomer to Richard Bryan and the latter to Bruce Vineyard. I paid $65,000 EACH--shoulda kept both....drove #38,179 on the streets here in Alabama in full race condiition---wonderful! Bought #44,023 from Garage Franciorchamps in 1984 for $100,000, I think, but cannot recall who I sold it to. Have the factory build sheets.
Mr Lyon, thanks for joining this fine thread! May I ask if you have any pictures to share!? Your post is the best post i've read in years!!!!
Offered in Austria for..........................1.49M EURO! B. Noon asks for #26681 850k euro...........
Just found the original French Road Registration documents for 26681 when I bought the car from the estate of the original owner in the Spring of 1994!!! How cool would that be to cruise the streets of Paris before this year's Le Mans Classic in an Ex-Ferrari France BB/LM! Anyone interested in having me as a co-driver ring or email me ASAP! Cheers, Bill Noon
Addition to engine numbers list: 26681 has engine 006. The following picture is from Symbolic Motors where the car is presently for sale: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Increasingly, BBLMs don't have matching numbers motors, anyway. Many have been pulled for hot rod motors built up out of spare blocks. Whether the original numbers-matching motors are stored or modified are on a case-by-case basis. CW
