My first Ferrari (308 GTS) will be shipped to me in next couple of weeks and I have bought bunch of spare parts already so that after major service I could enjoy my car already this summer.

But... I am a bit concerned about wheels of the car. As far as I have understood it has 390mm wheels and here in Finland it is VERY hard to find such wheels. So... I would like to upgrade wheels and why not to upgrade it all the way to 17'' or even 18''. Bolt Pattern is 5x108 but I do not have slightest idea about what is offset of wheel (e.g. in case of 8'' wide wheel). Also width of center hole is not known.

I hope that here are lot of 308 owners who can help me with these open questions.

    As advised last month

    For example http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8361

There's also lots of threads about changing from TRX / 390mm wheels & tires

So if somebody is interested about 308 offset: ~11,5 ET front and back with 7 and 8 inch wide wheels.

Stock non-metric wheels are 16. 17's might look OK, but I think 18's would be too big...you'd have to mount a pretty low profile tire to make it fit I would imagine.

as far as I have understood original tires are 205/55/16 front and 225/50/16 back. If this is correct basically it means that right 18'' wheel should be 225/35. Then diameter of new tires should be little smaller than original and I doubt that there is any rubbing if offset is right.

    Hi everyone,

I have a little offset issue as well. I managed to get the center parts for the compomotive TS rims, and as compomotive doesn´t produce the TS rims anymore I have to get the inner and outer rims from a different supplier.
No big deal, as I found a supplier that produced for compomotive in the past - but my problem is basically not knowing what size to take... I figured in order to keep the GTO-style in mind, I think the outer rims are quite "small" and besides it looks the outer rims have the same dimension for the front and rear wheels.... So to keep it less cryptic, I know that for the front wheels, if I go for 1.5" outer, 5.0" inner rim I will get a total 7" rim in the front with an offset of +03... concerning the back, in order to have also the 1.5" outer rim, I have to go to a 6" inner rim to have a total 8" rim in the back.... and what I calculated was an Offset of -9.75 in the rear....
I calculated the Offset in the rear by using the numbers of the front rims... outer rim and centre part leaves me with a distance of 91.9 mm (considering the Offset +03 in this combination)... using this for the rear rims - I come up with an offset of -9.75...

Now question is, if I calculated it right, and if so, is this dimension in the back would still work?
May be someone could give me some advice...

first, why stick to the original rim width? On my '87 ( non abs) 328 i have the Compomotive 16" TS in 8" at the front and 9" in the rear

On my 308 have the same wheels, only in 17" in 8 in the front and 9,5 in the rear.

1,5 outer at the rear will definately be to little to look good
