The Fabspeed Sport Exhaust System replaces the restrictive factory cats with the world's largest high-performance German-imported 200-cell HJS sport catalytic converters for significantly improved performance and exotic car sound. We incorporate a cast X-pipe for the best possible flow, resulting in the best possible gains of sound and power.

I had some time to slap a Go Pro in the car on my way to dropping the car off at my clients house, and cut a quick little in-cabin video.

Hello does your straight pipe install with x pipes cause a CEL to come on?

Removal of your Catalytic converters will cause a CEL, as your emissions monitoring devices would fault. However, if you opt for our 200-cel HJS High Flow Cats we guarantee no CEL as they meet all emissions requirements, while also flowing at 93% the rate of a straight pipe.

Is there an ecu tune that will address the CEL with the catless straight pipes? Do you have a video of both pipes (straight pipes vs the 200- cell version) so I can compare?

It is federally illegal to tamper with your emissions monitoring software or to use bypass pipes on public roadways, per regulations set in place by the EPA.

I appreciate the info. The straight pipes will be used only for the track. I still don’t like to see a CEL while in the track which is why I asked that question of re tuning the ECU

    Hi John,
Here is a left field question for you.
I have neighbours, and like to set off early for runs in the F12.
Is it possible to tune the ECU to get rid of the "start up bark" that you get when cold starting?
There, I bet you haven't had a request for a quieter exhaust before ;)

Unfortunately, that is just a byproduct of cold starts, so not much can be done. However, our tuners are willing to give it a shot and see if they can take the edge off. Shoot me an email!

The Forza Componenti exhaust valve controller kit is the complete solution that allows the user to take full manual control of the vehicle's vacuum-actuated exhaust bypass valves. The controller has a circuit board that controls the negative side of the exhaust valve vacuum solenoids. The user can manually open the exhaust bypass valves to have that classic engine sound at all speeds and engine RPMs. Of course, you can return the operation of the exhaust valves factory whenever you wish.

This kit provides three different operational modes:

    • Normal Mode: In this mode, valves operate the same as stock.
    • Always Open: Selecting this mode will force the exhaust valves open — and remain open.
    • Always Closed: Selecting the Always Closed mode will force the exhaust bypass valves to remain closed at all times. This mode is especially useful to ensure that your vehicle is as quiet as possible. Note: This feature was added at the request of people who track their cars at locations with strict noise standards and did not want the vehicle ECU to open the valves at high engine RPM.

Each kit is assembled using components designed to withstand the rigors of installation in the engine bay of a modern sports car. The enclosure is extruded aluminum. The internal circuit board will withstand the elevated temperatures that tend to exist in the engine bay of a vehicle. The connection cables are constructed using high serviceability TPE insulated cabling rated to 105° C. Connectors are weatherproof automotive connectors to resist moisture.

    Plug-and-Play ... 100% Reversible

The kit is completely plug-and-play. Power for the controller comes from the existing connector to the car's exhaust bypass vacuum solenoids, and no wiring modifications are required because the kit includes connector cables for the vacuum solenoids.

Installation is straightforward. You only need to select a location to install the controller, unplug the vacuum solenoids, connect the included cables, and route the cables to the controller. Once installation is complete, you use one button on your remote transmitter to open the exhaust bypass valves and the other button to close the valves and return control to the car ... and, you also have the ability to configure a manual on/off switch that you can mount inside your vehicle.

Since no modifications are required to install, if you ever want to remove the controller the installation is 100% reversible.

    • Ferrari 812 SuperFast
    • Ferrari F12
    • Ferrari 458
    • Ferrari FF
    • Ferrari GTC4 Lusso (V12)

I removed my cats and added an X pipe and the sound is sooo good. Much higher tone and more pops than what you get with sport cats. CELs can be tuned out through DME tuning (for track use).

Do the 200 CELL cats from Fabspeed require a tune, OBD port device, etc.?
