    Hi guys!

I’m a new Argento Nurburgring F430 owner and the car is now in for service. I have a question regarding the valves in the exhaust system.

At +/- 3K RPM the OEM valves open and the muffler is bypassed. However, do you guys know if the muffler is completely bypassed or partially?

Reason I ask is because I was wondering if changing the rear muffler from OEM to a TUBI would only have significant value < 3K RPM as when the valves open it wouldn’t matter what kind of muffler you have, the valves make that you bypass it.

Am I correct in my thinking? Thanks in advance!

A Tubi will change the sound at all RPM. The stock bypass valve allows the exhaust to exit from the cat to the tail pipe. While it doesn't shut off access to the muffler, it allows the exhaust to pass by the entrance to the muffler and go straight to the exhaust tip.
